no rust, condition fair/good, 150K miles.
bone stock, 4wd, base model.

I would definitely have to see it. If it is intact/runs drives perfect. Then maybe possibly. That is a lot of cash tho. Also depends on how obsessed you are with MJ's too. 4.0L? Trans?
As much as I want an MJ, I would not pay that much.

That is way too much money, IMO... I've found some pretty nice ones with about the same amount of miles for $2000 max, I say find another one

mine: '89, 4.0, stick, 4wd, almost bone stock, fair condition, 158k, no rust, needed a fuel pump and an o-ring to run - $900.
imo, that seems too high. yeah they're rare-ish, but almost 4k? maaaaybe if it was an HO, ax-15, and real clean. in the end though, how bad do you want it? :farmer:

Maybe for a 91-92 4.0HO SWB 4x4 Eliminator/Laredo with a factory D44 rear, good paint, and intact decals.

3800 is very strong money for a stock MJ especially with a pukegut. I paid <10% of that for a LWB 4x4 w/AX-15, I'm still less than 30% of that w/4.5 lift, spooled D44, SS LTB.

Xwhatever... that's a pretty high price.

I got my rot-box 91 HO SWB 2wd Eliminator for 800. Previous owner, a good friend of mine, paid 600 and then put 2-300 bucks in parts into it (I know because I ordered them and helped install them.)

The only really cool option I have is the bucket seats. The rest is pretty much standard.

That being said I would have paid 1500 in an instant and likely up to 2k if it had been rust free.

I agree, that is too high of a price. Just to give you an example. I paid $2600 for a nearly perfect 125,000mi 4.0 4WD auto Long Bed Big Ton package base truck.

So unless this truck is in factory new condition or better I'd keep shopping.

I paid $2000 for my 92 Comanche Pioneer shortbed with 4.0, AW4, 4WD, and Dana 44 with a perfect, rust-free body. Shortly afterwards, I thought I may have overpaid a bit. But I am very happy and have no regrets.

I picked up an immaculate '88 pioneer shortbox with 112k miles for $150. Needed a trans but the rest of the truck was straight and clean. Wish I could find about a dozen more like this one and sell them for $3k....
