Sweet. IMO, it would look great if you kept the "stock" look. Or even better, stuff 31's on some rubicon wheels while keeping 4wd and keep it clean. Ok... now I want to build one. lol.
You forgot to suggest a turbo for it!

Not too sure what had a 5.0 and was front wheel drive
First gen Taurus SHO......
I think you are wrong. I'm pretty sure the first gen SHO's only came with a 3.0, not a 5.0First gen Taurus SHO......
Cadillac 4.9 liter sideways v8Might be cool with a rear engine and a transaxle. The 5.0 would definately fit under a roof. You might could use front mounted platform in the rear of it. Not too sure what had a 5.0 and was front wheel drive or rear engined though.
Not the Early SHO, that was a 3.0l twin cam Yamaha V-6, the last Naturally asperated ones were some kind of small twin cam V-8 that may have been related to the 2.5l and 3.0l Taurus V-6 and Jaguar/Astin Martin V-12's (that could make an interesting swap BTW)
Cadillac 4.9 liter sideways v8
Commonly used in Fiero mid-engine swaps
To answer both your questions
wasnt it some weird version of the 4.6? it was dohc though.. hmm
It is a twin cam motor, and IIRC it's now being used by Volvo too? There's no way to fit a 4.6 would fit in any of the Taurus' as it was a tight fit in the same era Stangs.wasnt it some weird version of the 4.6? it was dohc though..
maybe its just hard to think for me......
"Project Troll".
