New Years Day Run, Walker Valley

Haven't even started on the new XJ, but I may drag the CJ out for this. I'll have to see how things go between now and then.

What needs to happen? I can make arrangements to head your way for a bit to pound it out. I technically CAN take you, I don't have any passengers set in stone...but there has been talk of taking one of my siblings or a friend while they're in town. :dunno:

Thanks Scott,
I appreciate the offer. I don't need any help, I just need to make the time to finish it up.

I will keep you posted as to how I progress over the next few days.

Please don't hold a seat for me, but if they are are available by the time of the trip and I am not ready with mine then I would appreciate them. I have a suspicion that there may be plenty of room if needed.

Michael

Fair enough Michael. And Doug it'd be great to have you with us!

I might have my friend convinced to come, he's running a V8 ZJ on full widths (I think 44/60).

Just a couple days away. Who's planning on being there? I'm super sick today and yesterday. Hope I can kick this. I have a couple things I got to do to the xj, hopefully I will feel better tomorrow to get them done.

I'll be there, and Micks bringing a friend with a cherokee on 31s.

Apparently the friend was going to weld his spider gears prior. Hopefully it isn't a D35.

My plan is still to be there. I have several things left to do to the Jeep tonight to be ready.

I will give you an update late tonight or tomorrow.

Michael

I'll be there, but probably not until 10 or 11 at the earliest. My 44 is in, alloy shafts are in, tcase linkage is fixed, new wheels and tires are on.

Sweet, I was gonna pick up a burrito at the la-conner exit gas station, but now I don't have to.

All nighter? Any-case, good luck.

I'm in still. It'll be a rough wake up but I should be able to do it. Worst case, some of you have my number.

I was supposed to go with some other people to another location but me and a 2 other friends might show up to this. I havent been to walker yet and my jeep is stock. i dont have recovery gear yet nor do i have recovery points at this time. my jeep is also equipped with a d35 rear. It sucks because at this point Im assuming it would be best to just stay home till its more suited to take it out wheeling.

Yeah I wouldn't roll Walker stock this time of year...plus you'll probably do some damage you don't want to have to deal with. I'd say hop in the passenger seat with your buddies (assuming they have built rigs).

The ice is too sketch, if you saw the videos of me last time you'd understand.

Status update:
1. The Jeep is done (I believe).
2. Trailer is loaded behind the tow rig.
3. The driveway is clear to be able to pull the Jeep out.
4. The battery is on charge (it was totally dead).

With any luck, I should be able to start it late tonight and put it on the trailer.

Michael

Looking forward to wheel with ya again Michael!

Alright it was super hard to wake up with only 3.5 hours of sleep, but I'm heading out soon. See everyone at ~10!

We had 4 XJs, a ZJ, and a TJ (?) on the run (Alex left his rig in the parking lot and rode with Michael, I'll let him explain why).

No snow other than some left over from awhile ago, it was mostly just a muddy day. Michael sheared all but one of his lug nut studs on his driver front so a couple of us took off to get one of his spare unit bearings, my friend in his ZJ managed to get into some tight situations so to speak with his full widths and Iroks, that's about all the eventful stuff I can think of. It was a good day otherwise.

Picture wise I only have a couple...hopefully some others will post they're pics, I know some people had cameras out.
