new rig (Black Betty)

I checked the codes tonight and it was a misfire, just as I thought. I didn't even notice it but assumed it was the case. This happens after gasing up in placerville.

I will wrap the injectors better to see if that helps.

Hey Josh - I have the same issue! I read about all sorts of "fixes" from Hood vents to Wrapping the injectors. Unfortunately, nothing has worked. If you find something that works please let me know :-)

check the pre cats . loose bolts there causing exhaust leaks. also wrap the injectors and add hood vents.

Maybe use an "exhaust blanket", between the intake and exhaust mani?

How did those 7100s feel? I just got my 7100s for the rear in 275/78. Had some 5125 with 255/70 in rear for last trip. Still feel like I needed more valving. Hoping to install the new 7100s on weds

I can use a stiffer spring up front but I want to try the prothanes in there first. I don't have the 7100s in the rear yet. I am going to rebuild them to 255/100 and put the 90*befitting in them.

My res hose and fitting hit the cross member. I could lengthen the BPEs but with raised axle side mounts I need all the space I can get. I don't really want to cut the cross member so a 90 fitting seems best.

I bought some low profile fixed 90 but am not sure if a swivel fitting would be better. What do you plan to do?

do protheses first and then progressive PAC coils if that doesn't dial it in.

Well I got my 7100s mounted in rear with BPE. I can see your issue with your low profile mounts you made up. I could use a little more up travel but will run this for now. I got another inch coming from the 5125s. I ended up trying to bend crossmember, no luck. Then die grind and bend, no luck. I should of just grab the plasma cutter from the start. Just had to be very careful of fuel lines and tank. Always be careful! I cut a nice hole and called it a successfull mission. Think I am gonna look at mounting the reservoirs to the floor board crossmember. It was late and just mounted on shocks for now. Passenger side line is close to exhaust so would like to move it away from that heat source.

Thanks for the update and the pics. I think for what i have into my mounts i could have spent a little extra cash and had the same result with the jks mounts for race shocks.

Oh well. I still need to order the shim kit to revalve at the same time i install the 90* adapter. I just need to shorten the tie rod and drag link, install the gas skid and replace the brake line first

Damn

So I bought some new ss brake lines for the front, for an xj, same as the po. I was going to drill out the caliper side to fit the Chevy stuff but the id of the hole for the fluid looks a lot smaller than what is on there now.

Is that going to be a big deal? I would replace both sides and keep the old good one for a spare.
