From what I gathered that Josh said, is that he had the spacers that come with the shocks. Which look almost like a bearing, if you use those and then stack washers on the outer part between those and the inside of the bracket, it works fine.

You need the tapered spacers this mount comes with in order to properly cinch up the shock ball on the 7100. It should not be loose, and regular washers just won't do it.

Yeah they came with little spacer bit they were not the tapered kind. They only fill half of the gap needed

That is what I thought, those give the joint room to move. So, there is no reason I see that washers on the outside of those would not work. And, the less movement there is the less chance of a clunk there will be.
 
ill be watching what you are doing with your shock mounting - I just ordered 2 front 12" short bodies 275/78. Do the 7100s come with anything for mounting? I might order some of those conical spacers...

Hold off buying anything. I am going to call today to get some measurements. You can also buy all the parts individually as replacement parts for a fraction of the cost to buy the set if you look at the jks site.
 
I was just going to buy 8 conical washers for 2.88 each, about 24$ total to do the front shocks. The plan is to make some upper shock mounts to fit those things/use my current lower shock mounts and modify as needed.
 
OK jks called back and their mount widths are the same for rubber bushing and spherical joint type shocks like the 7100s and fox shocks. Their widths are 1 7/16".

I am going to measure mine to see if they are jks or not but new stems are only $12 anyway.
 
Alright.... Bilstein spacers are about 5/16" wide and the ball is about 1/2". This gives 1 1/8" width. The jks mount is about 1 7/16" so the jks spacers should take up the space or just use washers. Seems I will need quite a few washers so I'll try the jks spacers.

Ill be at a wedding in sonoma all weekend. it sucks but I have to do it. Id rather be wrenching all weekend on my rigs
 
Major clearance issues with the TNT kit. Funny never had this issue on the old rig but the new setup pushes the axle in the drivers side frame rail. I clearance the pinch seam and hope that enough. If I push the axle to the pass side the ds will get into the exhaust...
