Yeah you guys may be right. I still need to put on the carrier and tire. At least I can order the shocks now. I hope they get here quick
My rig dropped about 1" with 500 pounds of concrete on saturday. which is a fraction of what I carry on the trail including coolers and camping gear. you will regret increasing lift up front once you load up the rig with all your stuff, people, and tire carrier and tire. I guarantee it.
Josh. I have some 3/4" spacers you can have. I had the same problem with my front springs feeling too soft. I was running Rubicon Express 4 1/2" springs, made the front feel too soft and unpredictable. I switched to BDS coils and I believe they have a 240 lbs/in spring rate. Feels much better now.
Well it may be more like 2". I will need a small spacer at minimum. And i gave my old ones to a buddy.
Stiffer springs would be nice. The ones on it are pretty soft.
What spring rate do you guys with prothanes run? Is it better to run a softer spring and let the insert make up the difference. I will be running Bilstein 7100 in all 4 corners

Available from $99 shipped at jegs.
We run 250 pound 4" coils on 4643.
I'd like to try those out. I think TORX used them when he revamped the Nail Salonas well.
Get the 6" in the next softest spring rate, and it would give you roughly 5".![]()
Or run a 4" with 2 coil isolators on top of it.

They are progressive with the soft coils at the bottom, so you'd be more or less ruining the function of the coil.
Myself, I wouldn't do it. Keep in mind each spring rate is going to give you a different ride height. The thing to do would be to get the sprung weights and you can calculate your ride height.
or just order the 250 pound coil. Your RE coils are 180 pound, so you're going to sit .75-1" taller with the same height coil at 250 pound.
