that's a bummer of a break man. but freshening up your axles is nothing in comparison with cost and effort that will go into some bigger axles. I would just keep slapping upgrades onto that D30 until you're happy. when you're really ready for a swap you'll know it. it won't even be a question

Slap some chromos in and a full case locker and call it done man

2 low i think is a good suggestion. Chromos and full case lockers are a must for reliability. I think you are probably set at that point with 33s. You wheel alot. This setup will take alot of stress out of your life.

I love 2 low

How is this all needed for 33's? Larger abs shafts with tacked caps should be all you need to hammer down.

Pretty sure that is what he keeps breaking.

Chromos and a real locker are the way to go. The D44 isn't much of an upgrade when comparing axle shafts if you don't plan on going bigger than 35's.

meh.. tacked caps can bring the suck if you have to pull that ujoint out on the trail. full circle clips ftw

yeah IDK how Kevin does it though. I've never broken a D30 ujoint and I was a throttle jockey on 35" tires :dunce:

I dont know how he does it ether, but almost every rubicon trip he shears the ears off the axle shafts, and sometimes it happens while he is driving home

I wonder if something is tweaked causing the ears to bind under certain circumstances? Housing? knuckles? C's?

Yes that could be very likely, what do you think would could be tweaked to cause it?

Locker binding up? Bent housing is a maybe . Something aint right to break that often.

Or do you drive like an ass

Not sure why this is a surprise to you. Wasn't he the guy that broke half a dozen bellhousings? Sometimes you have to go with the pattern of failure. The common denominator is Kevin is the driver. :D

I never broke anything when my jeep wasn't running right. I always do when shit is running right haha. And I don't think I'd trust a 44 rp to 40s.....
