So, question for everyone. My gf needs to be back on the central coast in Cali sometime Saturday the 12th, so she can be available Sunday. Is anyone heading back out west that could bring her back closer?

Well I'm extremely bummed. Moab is a dream trip. I had lots planned and a few things prepped, but it looks like I will be doing the jumbo tvs/scoreboards etc. at the new Santa Clara 49ers stadium for the entire month of October..7 days a week..:gonnablow

Sierra Chapter guys... just curious. Do you plan on taking I-80 or Hwy 50?

Yes!!!
We are still planning on leaving Sunday and spend the night in SLC then roll into Moab Monday afternoon. We are staying at the Slickrock Camp Grounds.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We are coming from Nevada City and Map Quest says it 12 hours so to SLC so I am thinking 15 might be right.

We are only about an hour and a half from Reno so does 15 hours sound right to you?

From Reno, SLC is about an 8hr drive. But if you are driving the XJ and don't want to push 75+ mph it can take a bit longer. 12 hours from Nevada City seems about right.

2 weeks 33 hours till we leave, I'm going 50, it's 65 miles & 22 minutes shorter. Since I set a speed limit for myself w/ my big rig of Duramax, camper, flatbed & Jeep of 65 & won't use the speed allowed on 80 anyway. Anyone leaving when I am, lets talk caravan from Carson City.
