I've come close to hitting one in my Blazer on Rt4 in Farmington at night, which is a 4 lane highway. It was running straight at me.
The problem is they're so damn tall, you could hit one and never touch the bumper, plus they weigh a lot. Quite a bit bigger than a kangaroo too. :scared:
When you guys/girls come up, let ME4x4 know, we'd love to join in. I haven't been to that region in a long time.

... speaking of bowhunting for moose, what are the laws regarding hunting with a crossbow? I'm looking at building one with my old leaf springs after I replace them this weekend, and I'm betting that firing chunks of rebar through cinder blocks will get boring after a while.
I might be persuaded to bring it when this trip takes place, if hunting with it is legal... or even just to do some target practice, seeing as the moose season is in the fall and it sounds like this trip will be in the spring.:clap: Thats awesome haha.
