Jim Marlar aka "CrazyJim"

Cal, again...the only chapter BOD person there was me and I did NOT deny any stockers. I still want to know who said that....

Rabbit. I said that. Stockers were sent on the easy run, which was gold moutain, where Rabbit turned them back.

Not the event leader, but the designated run leader, where clearly the event leader needed to have done a better job.

I think I remember this a bit... So here's the deal: yes it probably was 2008 and from what I recall there was a question/conversation regarding potential damage and a statement was made that yes you can expect damage during the run. Also from what I recall there was a different (easier) run that was also led that day and was suggested as an alternative. But then again... I got bad memory and I might be just imagining this all ;)

Yes, that different easier run was lead by my father, and it was cooridnated after he watched Rabbit tell Maz to his face that if he went on the easy run, his rig WOULD be damaged, and that he should turn back.

Both Maz and my father replayed the conversations for me, seperatly, afterwards - since I had sent Maz up there with my promise our chapter would have an easy run and he would be welcome on it.

..but thats what we've gotten out of past leadership. Something I will not let fly again.

What do you intend on doing about the "overlooked" safety requirements for official NAXJA runs? For every official trail run I've been on, no one has inspected any vehicle to make sure they met NAXJA's minimum safety requirements.

Do you feel that those safety requirements should be over looked??

Where's this list? I would like to see it.

I believe we should have regular tech inspections at all runs, although people who fall short instead of being sent home should be directed to a run appropriate their build and gear, and given suggestions on how to improve their inventory.

I know it was posted in the SoCalFest 2007 event info thread, not sure about others as I didn't make those threads...

Pretty basic list that is mostly common sense stuff. Sometimes we'll make exemptions on spare tires and towhooks depending on the run in question.

Does it seem like Karstic and Remi are against Jim for some reason? Thats how it seems to me since I have not seen them attacking any of the other candidates. Oh wait, Remi is friends with Brendan.......stupid me, I forgot my cliques. Don't know about Karstic (only met him once).

Karstic is asking legitmate questions, and asking to an extent the same questions of everyone.

That said, people can ask what they'd like of who they like.
