Question for all candidates:
The topic of alcohol on the trail has been brought up. However, I don't think the issue has been full addressed. Alcohol on the trail is not only illegal, but it is also dangerous, even if it's ONE beer.
I have heard members, including board members, take a stance on "no alcohol on the trail." BUT, I have seen beer and hard liquor on official and non-official trail runs numerous times.
What is your plan of action to promote a safe and alcoholic free trail runs? AND, if you or any other member sees alcohol on the trail, what will you do? Ask them to leave the run? Give them a "time-out" from the forum?
I know that everyone talks a good game, but alcohol on the trail of official and non-official runs looks poorly on
as a whole.
Keep in mind that drinking and driving is illegal whether it's on pavement or a dirt road, and even if you stop for lunch.
