No it's not here yet..... It should be here the first part of January. I've been emailing Jane but don't get any reply, which is just like last time if you all remember.



And just a reminder to the people who didn't pay for the parts yet..... you need to pay up! I'm not a wealthy man and it was tough to cough up the 5 grand for this order, which in turn makes my wife unhappy. So hit me with a PM and let me know whats up.

How do you guys think a 2500 grill would work with an aftermarket bumper?

I think it all depends on if the bumper has sections near the grill that go higher then stock. Its already common knowledge that the 2500 header panel will work on a stock bumper. Given that fact, as long as the aftermarket bumper doesnt have any sections near the current grill that are higher than a stock bumper than everything should be golden.

My plan is to have an aftermarket made to fit around the 2500 header... but thats probably years to come.

The stock bumpers are going to be in the same place and have the same contours so I don't see how an aftermarket would be much more difficult. Maybe the grill curves differently enough to make a problem but it seems unlikely.

How is that possible that a stock bumper will work? the grille drops down lower and AFIK fro what i have seen the bottom of the head light is the bottom on the original header panel and the grille is lower. We really need someone with a good build to show this w/o reusing a 2500 bumper. I dont see any way a stock or unmodified aftermarket bumper will work.

The 2500 is based on the old-style body. Also if you read back in this and the other threads, the 2500 "bumper" is just a cover for the old-style XJ bumper. So... bumpers are the same.

I just received my documentation for my order which was a different one from you guys and it says i'll be receiving my parts on the 14th of january and that the boat should be on the 8th on california or something like that...so i'm guessin thats your group buy.

Thats true..... but it didn't work that way. So I guess I'm getting a couple extra sets of stuff. All I ordered was the fenders.
