Important

Okay, there's some confusion/mis-communication in regards to how I posted that statement.

As I've stated I have a deal to sell a s10 and buy a gasser f250 and come out clean. The f250 will share dd responsibilities with the XJ since that's what I've been doing with the F150/XJ anyways. Bec will end up driving the F150 as a DD as it gets the same gas mileage as the S10 currently does. I will eventually sell the F250 to get something in the diesel flavor that will be able to pull a 2-space 5th wheel. As an F250 is more valuable in my neck of the woods than the S10 is...

**EDIT** Where one jeep goes, the other will too, or the wife will kill me...

Ok, but no bitching about your 5.4 f250 sucking nuts at towing two jeeps allowed! :D

Moab trip totals:
3315.4 miles after returning trailer
$1446.07 in fuel
414.107 gallons of fuel
Trip total mpg average: 8.01 mpg

mac 'almost exactly as I had estimated' gyvr

Still haven't added mine up. Guessing somewhere near $800 in fuel.

I sold my 06 megacab in 2010 right after winterfest. It had 100k on it and I let it go for 22k. I see the same truck with almost double the miles being offer for more than what I sold mine for.

We aren't racing as much, or maybe not at all right now. I'll never have the ultra4 buggy that should be in my trailer. We want to do more camping. It's hard to get my trailer into a normal campground, and additional living space would be nice. I want a real bedroom to sleep in and a bigger bathroom.

My choice would be the biggest motor in the shortest RV with a rear bedroom that I can find...and be able to tow my single place trailer with the Jeep weighing about 7k lbs.

I have some equity in my truck and trailer. Would like to pay off our credit cards and not have much or any of a payment on whatever RV we buy.

I'm anxious to see how this works out for you.

I am finally going to be buying my own trailer this spring. I am just sticking to a tent and the F two fiddy for now.

I love my diesel truck. Everybody says they are crazy expensive to fix (maybe true with newer ones) But I have only had to replace the alternator, vaccuum pump, and rear brakes.

Shoot I didn't even count the fuel in the Jeep...

If you read it, I really don't plan on towing two jeeps with it, I'll wait to get a diesel for that. Becs jeep won't be done for at least another year, so this truck will buy me time, hopefully... I have no money lost if this deal works out, so why not trade a S10 for a F250...

I'm just saying, why buy a truck that will probably need work, drive it then get rid if it for another truck that will probably need work....why do it twice.

Think I got an interview with Mopar tomorrow. I got my fingers crossed that it all works out with me still being another semester away from graduating.

Are you gonna give us all the friends and family discount then?

Good luck!! Ben's sister just got hired in to Chrysler granted she graduates in December, but still... They may not actually have that opening until when you need it..

buying it means spending money, he is saying he is not coming out of any money so therefor its almost like trading it.

Haha I'll make them bring the XJ back!

I spotted a yellow JK pickup on campus. I walked up to them and asked them if they wanted to go wheel Rocks & Valleys. Talked for a while, gave them a resume, and now I'm waiting for a phone call back with a time for tomorrow after I submitted all the required online crapola. The position is a 10 week internship with Mopar Engineering with a possibility of going full time after that is completed.

Really hope it works out. This is just what I wanted.

That sounds like a kick a$$ job. Yes bring the cherokee back to what it should be. Not that new body style they think is cool.

Plus, I like to tinker, I like to work on things. I could have bought a 72 CJ5 completely restored and built for the trails for $2500. Instead I buy a rusted old heap and am doing it the hard way cause that's the enjoyment of it. Now that Bec is starting to earn some money via her 3 part-time jobs, I'll be able to relax a little bit and get back to tinkering...

Dude...hahahahahahahaha! You taking about "why do it twice" hahahaha!

What about your XJs, MJs, Scuby and Neon? Lol! You're funny, man!

Edit: Obligatory :D because I'm busting A-ron's balls...

:moon: The Subaru is the only one I lost money on at least! I'm still ahead!

That is around what WF12 cost me in fuel, 2k miles at 8-9mpg. The 318/46re were not amused by 4000lbs of jeep + ~800lbs of crap and tow dolly.
