I said it was good in the snow. That's about it. Lucky for us we bought it right after the dealer had replaced the timing belt. The people who owned it before us bought it from that dealer and had every single bit of required and scheduled maintenance done within 20 miles of its required date. They had all the records to back that up too.
Unfortunately for us, right after we bought it the head gaskets failed. It's also been full of little nit picky things that constantly drive me nuts. Ill never own another one.
what year is your subie? ours has 140k...no head gasket issues whatsoever. we have had the timing belt replaced...though its probably about time to check it again. even with lo pro tires and a turbo its still a beast in the snow...its a tossup between the xj and the subie in the snow. if the snow is deep, ill take the xj though
