hmm...
so the reason im asking is because i have a peugueot 2.3l turbo diesel that i might pickup for pocket change, but it might not be a simple swap. i was thinking about trying to drop it into a renix xj or an mj. its currently mated to a ba 10/5...my hope was that the bellhousings were separate, but the bolt patterns on the tranny side were the same...then you could mate an ax15 with the peugeot bellhousing, but i figured it wouldn't be that easy. i suppose i could run a peugeot 4x4 drivetrain for a little while until it blows up...this is all a very theoretical at this point. however, since the peugeot diesel motors were bullet proof (unlike the trannys) i still might look into how to make it work. its a fully mechanical diesel so making it run would be easy...adapting it to a jeep drivetrain and adapting the motor mounts may make it tricky though. these motors aren't terribly hard to find parts from, and they were used in a similar sized truck in europe. i'll be doing some digging until i get back to see if it would even work. if so, it could be a dd project
