I am NOT going to Blue Canyon this coming Saturday with some local friends to do lite wheeling. If you are at the Forest Service station at 9am Saturday morning I will NOT be there.

Please DON'T call me at 559 448 6859 to tell me that you are going.



Oh, I am NOT going in my stock CJ7, so feel free to take stockers. They just need good tow points front and rear. Please make sure your junk does not suck. Thank you.

Yeah, called him about 9 and got voicemail. PM'd SeansXJ and he said he's not actually going...

OK, so while I was typing this, Matt just called me back after getting out of a movie. He's still planning on going tomorrow. Meeting for coffee at Tollhouse and 168 around 8:30 and then passing by the FSS unless someone calls him tomorrow morning and lets him know they'll be waiting there for him. Now I'm not sure... I'll probably go.

To anyone thinking about going. Call me BEFORE 8am and let me know you WILL be at the Forest Service Station AT or BEFORE 9am. If you don't let me know, we are not stopping.


We are meeting at a friends house in the foothills before we take off, if you want to meet even earlier, call earlier and get directions.

That is the furthest from junk I will EVER own.

1976 CJ7 with 90k miles. Only mods are 1" shackle lift and winch.

Super badass. Took the 4lanes at 45mph no prob and ATE the trails!

Edit: I would have been there but I was with TDO drag'in Jes up some dumb mud trail at Hollister.

Sorry I missed you guys. Didn't want to drive that far just to be the one guy not carrying chains that got turned back. I'm guessing you guys probably didn't even get stopped, but the DOT road conditions report wasn't making me feel too confident. A few weeks ago, I got turned around by the Yosemite Park Rangers at the 41 entrance which resulted in a LOT of extra driving. Guess I'm a little gun shy now. I really need to pick up a set of chains so I don't have to worry about it anymore...

I just have some old broken honda civic chains I bought for 5 bucks in a box labeled Tire Chains that has let me pass 99% of the time. They just want to see you have them. They dont have to know they dont fit.
