Hunters/archers

I like the way you think.

Well, the chapter was about hunting ethics and how it's unethical to expose the public to things like this because they could be offended. They want us to use the word "harvested" instead of "killed" when in public. Stuff like that. I just thought the pic with the word was funny.

Lol so true

no high fence at all, but we have over 3000 acres now, and it has creek and river bottoms running through it and mix that with timbered corridors, CRP fields and crops..we have a receipe for LOTS of deer. We have friends that come from Utah that stack a 16' trailer with deer each year and they live off that meat until the next season. It is quite the spectical to see it when we have the processing day in the shed...it is a mess but the dogs and coyotes love it! :D
Haven't been keeping up with this thread....

I grew up on a few hundred acres, and about 130 of that is now fenced in with 8' of woven wire. My brother tried control tags for several years, hauled out close to 100 deer on less than 100 acres for a few years and still didn't make a dent in the population. And white tail will destroy a young orchard in pretty short order. Since we put up the fence, deer haven't been problem.

B.S. Kill it, skin it, grill it, eat it. Ya gotta understand where food comes from.

Thats the truth. My 4 year old daughter has a deeper grasp of this then a lot of adults. She also knows how to help mix up bear bait and looks dead serious when she says she is going to kill one, eat it and make a rug out of it. She's awesome :)

well after missing the early goose season and the start of dove season, i am happy to announce that next weekend my ass will be planted in a marsh in my duck boat :)

happiness....granted, after opening weekend the season really doesn't start to pick up until after halloween, but im still stoked

box front darton archery arrived a couple days ago....

looking at optics, bolts, etc.

seems like xbox hunters like mechanicals...

I've always used fixed blade on my vertical bow.

We pulled game cameras yesterday do I need to look through the pics and see what we got. Discovered a few new rub lines on the way to the cameras so I need to possibly move some cameras around.

we caught a huge droptine on cam on our missouri property last season.

no one saw him during rut or late season.

we've had cams sitting out there since mid july.

wife's cousin rob is gonna pull them all 12 of them and see if droptine is still lurking around.

i just ordered 2 cases of steel shot for this season...ya'll thought shooting a rifle or handgun was pricey. $139 for a case (10 boxes) of 3.5" steel BB shot and $129 for a case of 3" steel. and that is on super sale price

How many rounds to a box?

10 boxes (20rds/box) of the rifle ammo I use in my .243 would run $230. One of the reasons I'm looking into reloading.
