Hollister feb 16 day trip

Heading down to Hollister Saturday Feb 16th.
Day trip with the kids, breaking in the new iron rock off-road
Leaf springs. Should be there around 10-1030.

My girl has never been wheelin' and I was thinking of taking her on Sraturday but didn't want to go alone. Would be cool to tag along. Nothing major sense it's her first time but enough to scare her a litte

We plan on getting in the park by 1030. Hopefully do a trail to the top.
Then play in obstical course and check out the new stuff. I don't have my rocker protection on yet so staying on the medium stuff. Hoping to find a nice spot to Bbq around 1pm and let my girls play in the dirty. Brother is bringing down f250 on 37s for a
Mild shake down run. I have white XJ on 35s with only tracklok in rear.

Ill be heading down with my wife and kids sat too. Should be down there about the same time. Going to do a picknick on the mountain top near the south clearing/turnaround. I'll look for you guys. I'm in a 97 white 2door 31s

Hey John. Good meeting you and the fam today. Apparently my front drive shaft contacted my O2 sensor and gave me some trouble on the way home. Swapped it and made it to sac just in time to see the show. I'll hit you up next time I'm headed down.

Gordon, good meeting you and the family. I hate stomach flu, just starting to feel better. Glad you had an o2 sensor with you, I guess I need to carry a spare as well. I have a few pics of you guys at the quarry. I am setting up a photobucket account and should have them posted in the next day or so. I am hoping for a family play in the snow trip, so I will let you know when I get a date.

Jeep looks awesome John. What do you usually air down too. I'm throwing on the 35s next weekend probably. Cutting and trimming and paint. Just need to pick up some spacers.

Gordon. Well at slick rock I aired down only to about 15-16. At hollister I was about 13 psi. I have always played it safe in the past with air pressure so I don't loose a bead. I am thinking 12. Would be totally safe , so next time that is what I am gonna run. I got my yukon zip locker installed last Monday in the front. I can't wait to really try it. I am so close to cutting out my rocker panels and getting my rock sliders installed.
What gears you gonna be running with the 35s?

Just going to run the 4.10s that are in it. I'm swapping in a stick soon. When I ge around to building the 44s I've had for two years they will have 5.13s.

I dropped to about 15 while we were up there. That's what I'm planning on running. Looked like your tires were flexing out pretty good. I picked up a set of really clean silver eccos from Tim last week so I'm looking forward to getting my 35s on soon.
