GUNS & AMMO

Yeah about the only thing the new law does is keep folks from posting a public ad to sell hi-cap magazines. No way to enforce face to face sales of hi-cap mags unless the buyer rats you off or is undercover po-po.

But people could get charged with a misdemeanor for soliciting that they have hi-cap mags to sell.

what is a ok asking price for a centry arms wood stock ak47 brand new in box?

Are you buying or selling it? I have an opinion for both...lol

I'm on the look out for either another SKS or a basic M4 style AR. Obviously FFL would be involved because I'm a good little sheep. ;)

If you're a "WY resident" I have 20+ 30rnd AR mags (5 new in plastic Gen3 PMags, 5 new in plastic Gen2 Windowed PMags, 5 new in plastic GI metal mags, and 8 older GI metal mags) I could put towards the SKS. If I find an AR then obviously I'll need my AR mags.

Oh uh yeah I'd love to trade some 30 rnd GI AR mags for some 30 rnd AK steel mags with a "Wyoming resident". Or just sell a few of my AR mags to a "Wyoming resident".

400.

AK's are generic and cheap. As a bone stock basic ak your price should start at 400 and work one way or another.

I'd say you're pretty close. If he's buying it, I'd say $450-$550 for NIB if it has decent machining on the bolt carrier assembly and gas block. If he's selling it on the open market, I'd say $500-$600. I've been going to every Tanner show in Denver and that market is selling WASRs for $500 - Century is a better make than WASR IMO, so I think that would be fair.

I'm a Rifle Dynamics and Arsenal AK guy, myself. ;)

So I've been going back and forth on getting a CZ 75B, but apparently they're Uber hard to find and no one outside of Colorado stocks the 10rd version - thus leaving me SOL on a new one. Couldn't find a used one that wasn't beat to piss, so I did some research...

I found that back in the 90's Israel Weapon Industries first imported the Jericho 941 to the US, that was based upon the CZ75. In 2008, they modified that design and created the Baby Eagle (BE). In 2011, they redesigned it again to become the BE II - which is what this is. This one is a full sized, steel frame in 40 S&W.

I haven't fired this pistol yet, but it has BY FAR the most buttery action of any sidearm I've ever owned. Even more so than my Berretta 92fs and Sig P226. It comes with a 3.5lb SA and a 7.5 DA.

If you guys haven't considered looking at Magnum Research, I'd highly recommend it. Aside from their gargantuan Desert Eagle 50cal that made them famous, they make a pretty awesome service pistol.

Specialty sports has multiple 75's in stock. In Colorado Springs.

Negative good buddy. I was there today and they're down to a single P-01 and a P-07. Their distributor's allocation is zero which means they have no idea when/if they're getting another shipment.

If you have one, hold onto it and consider yourself fortunate.

Nice pistol!! I knew that Magnum Research was expanding their catalog, but I didn't anticipate such a sweet pistol! Let us know how it shoots.

What's capacity of those mags?

Thanks man. With the 40 S&W, it'll hold 12 + 1. Already ordered a new hammer spring and will be polishing the trigger assembly next weekend.

The steel framed Jericho 941 is a battle-tested tank. I haven't fired it yet, but I fell asleep with it on my chest yesterday. I love it that much. lol

Rainer had a good time on Saturday just South of Moab:

Note: That track I was on petered out about 25 yards past the Jeep as seen below, it terminates into somebody's drinking spot (along with trash we picked up):

GUNS & AMMO

We'll my AR search is over. Sportsman Warehouse had a sale going. Plane Jane Bushmaster flat to M4 style AR for 750$. I paid 740$ out the door thanks to military discount.

Looks like fun! I suggest a hogue grip! Out of 500+$ in accessories, my 40$ hogue grip is the only mod on my AR I care about. makes the gun so much more comfortable to shoot.

I love my Hogue grip too. So much comfort for such a good price. They can be had for about $20 nowadays.

I'd have to say the best money I've spent so far on my AR was the ~$15 I spent on modding my trigger. I polished the sear, put in some JP Enterprises 4.5# springs and ran a set screw through the grip screw hole up into the receiver to take a lot of the take-up out of the trigger. Probably took out 75% of the take-up so it's now short with a smooth, crisp break. I highly recommend that mod.

Wanted to do a follow-up on my IWI Baby Eagle pistol. Took it to the range yesterday evening and it shot fantastic. Practically zero recoil, the trigger is super crisp and it was all-around very docile for a 40 S&W. Didn't have any misfire or F2F issues, which was awesome.

Everything was great until.....Oh wait....the F*%&ing rear sight fell off! As you'll see, on my first target my groupings were pretty tight; then as I keep firing, my groupings keep getting farther and farther apart. At that point, I'm like "WTF?" because I'm a pretty good shot. So I do a basic field strip and I notice that the rear sight is all the way to the right, with probably 2/3rds of it hanging off the slide mount.

I immediately unloaded it and brought it to the on-site gunsmith and he said that in 30 years, he's never seen one do that. It's still at the shop and they're going to take care of me by giving me a 100 free rounds and 2 free range days and fix it for me.

Aside from that, it shot awesome. Kind of pissed that I couldn't get an accurate feel for it because the sight was off; but as far as ergonomics, it's already my favorite pistol.

Here are the targets:

Wow. I just cannot believe what would have justified the use of force and treatment of his family. He seems to have complied peacefully in all their previous interactions...
