GUNS & AMMO

After reading some stuff online, the polymer lower I bought sounds like it may be the case of getting what I paid for. Seems people think the holes wallow out running 5.56 in them. So I figure I'm already into it for a little, maybe build something with some cool factor for funzies.

Why?

The lower sees hardly any stress, hell the originals are just aluminum; the bolt is locked up in the steel barrel extension. The only extra stress I can see over other calibers would be in the buffer system, no pins there.

That's what I was thinking too. All the recoil lands on the buffer, so I didn't find the logic. I wanted to create an account on the site to ask more questions, but they don't allow anonymous email accounts for registering. Gmail is the only account I use anymore and that doesn't cut it. Imagine my surprise, I figured gmail was accepted by the entire world...

Well actually only some of it does. The majority of the force goes to the locking lugs, by the time the bullet has hit the gas port and gas has flowed to the bolt key a lot of energy has been lost.

This makes sense. I'm still learning a lot about the AR platform. Novels worth of info out there...

At any rate, I like the idea of the cost in a dedicated .22 pistol instead of trying to make a good shooter in another small caliber, high power rifle with a questionable lower. My options are pretty limited for what I'm thinking about. .204, 17HMR, 22-250, etc. I'd like to go with the former 2 before the latter, or even .22WSM would be nice, but the parts seem harder to find than the .22LR pistol parts.

Finally scored a Sheild in 9mm. Sportsman's Warehouse got a shipment yesterday of 50 or so guns. That was in Thornton. Apparently the Loveland store got a bunch too.

I haven't posted in this thread due to my lack of collection
I am slowly starting. Lol
So I have an XD.40(middle in the picture)
I recently got a ruger sr9 for the wife.(bottom in the picture)
And just the other day I picked up a ruger lc9 for my uncle.(top in the picture)
My uncle wanted something that was small, light and very concelable.
The lc9 is really small and light.
Picture is a little blurry.

Retards. I went to their e-mail feed back page and let them know I would no longer do business with BWW until they support America's 2nd Amendment rights.

Does that sign have the force of law in Colorado? It does not in California (yes, of course they can kick you out / refuse entry if they should find out you are carrying but there are no legal issues).

I unliked their page. I haven't been to a BWWs in a while, but rest assured I won't be joining them soon.

In other news; my polymer lower came in. I just had to throw some parts on it.

Still undecided if I will build a pistol or a rifle.
