Grabbed up one of those polymer AR lowers to give a try with. Thinking about doing some small game/plinking round that is different than the .223. Likely smaller, like .17HMR ,22-250 or .204 Ruger. I've read there are problems with the .17HMR being used in semi-auto applications. Any thoughts from you guys? On the .17 or otherwise?

Mine does NOT like certain .17 ammo so find one that works with you gun. I have guns that don't like brass, some don't like steel, some don't like aluminum. find the one's that work for your gun.

So far, my .17 doesn't like the stuff from Fleet Farms, every 3rd round does not eject on a bolt action. It may be need to opened a bit or I may need to buy dif ammo.
 
That doesn't really do it for me. Too much of a novelty, give me at least a litlte bit of function.
 
I wonder what a misfire/bad primer would do to the function of that side-by-side........

Gotta have some decent sized hands for the size of that double-wide grip........

I'm more curious about what the ATF thinks about a single trigger pull sending two pieces of lead down range.

The video compares 16 .45 to 30 9mm..... uh... why not compare to other .45 when comparing how much is going down range........

Is it the winchester supreme garbage? My savage hates it.
 
So no barrel? Hope you can get it to work well. My brother had been building about 10 ARs a month and he gave up trying to get receivers to work well with different barrels. He finally started buying matched receivers and barrels that are already put together. Then adding the rest of the goodies on top of that.
 
I too really want a KSG but they're pretty hard to find and the markup on them is crazy. Weren't they like $600 MSRP? Ive seen them up and over 1G a few times already
