I love doing it, but obviously it's not good for it, so I've tried to back off, but rather unsuccessfully. I've also grown fond of building it up against the break and leaving some nice black lines behind me when I take off. Is my Jeep going to live to see another 100,000 miles if I keep driving like this?
Thanks!
Sounds like you answered your own question there.
I have only a little over 70k on my Jeep. It was a salvage, but the lines were straight and it drove well when I bought it. Since beating the crap out of it offroad a few times - and onroad all the time, similar to what you mentioned - I strongly suspect the unibody has reverted to a slightly warped state (if it was ever warped after the accident it was in, which I find is almost impossible to avoid - could have been a lucky angle though, but I bought the thing from a dealer who is a friend of a friend).
I also do a lot of tranny braking, and my tranny, crossmember, and the drivetrain in general are trashed because of it. My rear springs are so trashed, if I accelerate too quickly, or around a corner, I can hear & feel what I believe is the effects of spring wrap.
Basically, be careful. Jeeps are tough as nails, but as with anything, if you abuse it enough, you WILL find a breaking point. Maybe not everything all at once, but piece by piece - although, this will tell you which order you have to upgrade things in as well

My motor is still pretty strong, but I think it may have lost a little - could be due to increased parasitic losses due to the condition of the drivetrain. I run Mobil-1 all the time - 1st thing I did with the truck was change the oil - and more recently, have begun using a synthetic additive as well.
