Of course it's way up in Tennessee. At the very top part of our Chapter. It sucks never being able to make these trips cause everything is so far away.

I'm not putting my name on that list and jinxing myself. If I make it... I'll just show up unannounced.

I e-mailed the owner of the park and they have confirmed they will be open Nov 9-11.

They asked that I try and provide a total rig and people count prior to the ride. Please post up if you are coming and any other trucks that will be coming with you.

This will be a fun ride. I'm praying for no rain.

I got my tent site already reserved. It appears that the tent sites have no running water or electricity. I had to e-mail the park to check on availability, then when they gave me the green lite, go onto their website and do a deposit by paypal to reserve the site. The rest of the weekend will be paid on site.

For 2 nights in a tent site, the cost for 3 people, the cost for my rig and necessary permits are going to cost me a total of $70 for the weekend. That is arriving Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon.

The website shows that the bathhouse is about a half mile from the tent sites. They have 2 mens and 2 women's showers and each shower costs $3.00.

It also states that the park opens on Fridays at 6 pm. I saw a lot of posts about people arriving mid-day to ride. Someone ought to check to be sure that if you arrive at noon, there will be someone there to check you in and get your permits.

I will be arriving around 4:30 or 5:00 with the girls. After setting up camp, we will probably drive back into Sparta and do a restaurant dinner rather than over the campfire. Special treat for the girls!

What's this park like? Would I be extremely disappointed if I drove my little Jeep up there? That's about the only way I could possibly attend this thing. Would I be bored out of my mind or destroy my little Jeep trying to have fun?
