Hate to tell you this but half the worlds problems come from kids doing exactly this.
Although this kid sounds like he has some problems at least he has an open enough mind to actually make up his own mind on political issues and not just follow his parents like a Lemming.

I agree on the rules...however...to get grounded over not agreeing politicly is just stupid. His mother sounds like a whack job and I can't help feel sorry for him...at least for that.

regardless of what they were arguing about, its just plain and simple, dont get into a yelling match with your mom. its disrespectful. that is whats wrong with us kids today, we just dont give anyone any respect. i try to my parents even though it is hard at times. its pretty simple though, he was wrong for yelling at her.

If he's not 18, he has no choice, he's gotta live there, but he doesn't have to respect her.

Mom obviously hasn't earned his respect, dad has.

I grew up without my mom (saw her occasionally and she would buy me things) and thought she was the greatest mom in the world.
Then I started using my reasoning and deduction skills and realized she was a selfish woman.
I have no repect for her.
Hell, she's never let my kids spend more than 3 hours with her.

The kid's mom has a problem, but he obviously hasn't earned her repect either.

good point, but he seems like he is probably 15 or 16 and at that age you should just listen regardless of whether or not they have earned it, and if you dont as he is finding out, he will have to pay

I agree mostly about minding what your parents say...Having three kids I belive in a firm rule. I do think that there are some exceptions.
