I haven't posted here in a decade or so. For the most part, I have these machines figured out!
My 96 started having issues with the speedometer not working and not shifting correctly, speed sensor codes. I tried to find a direct replacement for my original sensor but that sensor is no longer available. I had to replace the pigtail and sensor. My speedometer works but reads 20mph high at 55mph. I have 35's and 4.88's and according to the chart here, I should have a 39 tooth gear. I've tried: 38, 39, 40 tooth gears, it doesn't change what the speedometer reads.
The jeep runs and drives fine. Im wondering if I have the updated pigtail wired incorrectly.
Its worth noting, my speedometer was dead on before the sensor went out and I had to change to pigtail for the new sensor. I had a 38 tooth gear in it then.
