Chinamans

Check.

man i would love to make it there but the wife just gave birth about 3 hours ago and i cant make plus i need to put the new rear end and gears in mine before i head out anywhere the rear that is in right now is sold. is there going to be another run there this year?

Looks like I'll make it to the run..... just debating if I'm gonna fly up in the GTO for a nice Mtn cruise or haul the rig up and 'wheel it with the smashed windshield and loose rear hatch. The nice thing about Chinaman's is I don't have to run the Heep on the streets to get to the trail (Don't need the aggravation of getting stopped for the windshield and smashed tail light. :D)

Whaddya think? Cruise the GTO and bum a bitch-seat or haul the Heep and 'wheel?

Heh heh.... maybe I could bum with River and get him all psyched-out - I'll bring a roll of TP! :D

Out of curiosity, who's all planning on camping? I know of 4 "for sures"... That's half the fun of the Spring Chinamans trip.

DJ, you better be down on Friday night...

Friday is a no go, can't make the camping portion. But I'll be at the trail head bright and early with my wheeler in training riding shotgun. I'm not as well prepared for this trip as I'd like to be, but meh, thats why you guys are there, right?

Congratulations!!
Hope your wife and the baby are doing well. me thinks you need to start another thread and pony-up some pics!!

And now back to our regularly scheduled thread....

Even if there isn't another official NAXJA run, there's always someone heading up there. I'm gonna go in a couple of weeks, I'll let ya know later on.

Pot calling the kettle black.

Joey's unfinished suspension will still be there when you get back on Sunday. You and Joey need to drag your asses up there... unless your liver is still hurting from last year's all night tequilla bender. ;)

"Pot calling the kettle black"

You should not talk about others not wheeling their rig when you don't really wheel your own stuff. Led has wheeled more stuff in his sleep then most.

i want to see pics of DJ actually wheeling!

So does DJ! :D

I was beginning to wonder if he was gonna source left-hand driver parts from Ebay.au so that he'd feel more comfortable on the trail..... after all, he's got LOTS of experience on that side of an XJ...... Think we'll catch him walking around to the pass side of his XJ and get in?

:D

Just checked the BV area forcast..... looks like it'll be a touch on the cold side and wet..... bummer. Forcasting 57 degrees and 50% chance of rain.

Might be a dumb question but when they say "Observed at Cottonwood Pass, Colorado", that's like 15+ miles west of BV and a waaay higher in the Collegiate Peaks. They can't really be basing BV weather off that pass, can they?? I know they base Breckenridge's weather off of Leadville...

I've never been over Cottonwood Pass and the weather be all that nice. I can't tell you how many times I've seen it be nasty up there and beautiful in BV or at Taylor Res.

I'm optimistic. :)
