I've got too much going on, and to be honest, don't care to freeze me arse off.

I've got a few small things to take care of as well between the buggy and trailer, and don't feel like having to get them complete by this weekend (though 100% doable).

I drive a 2016 1500 Silverado and haven't been keen on using it to tow my XJ so I like to talk to people with half tons that tow similar loads.

I do giggle at the jump to conclusion insecurity though - nice touch.

My dad(unlimited Matt) tows a decent bit (2x' camper and other random vehicles for me) with his 2015 GMC Canyon. While it is even smaller than a 1/2 ton it tows pretty good. This 1/2 ton or heavy half as Toyota calls it, will be a lot more comfortable. My truck and atv combined probably weigh less than a typical xj and the truck didn't seem to mind it on my little test tow so far.

I would have no issue towing a xj with a new 1500.
I plan on getting a two place aluminum trailer and towing two rigs at once with this truck.

Hell, the new F-150 EcoBoosts are damn near the size of my Crew Cab Long Bed F-350.

I could honestly live with one of those, as they'd beat my truck towing the buggy.

Nicer, newer, but a bit more $$$.

But, if I decide to, I can two a fifth wheel, or several rigs on a gooseneck.

Can't do that on an F-150.
