The other day I was talking about the chapters with a nonmember and one of his questions got me thinking, I know watch out!

Is there a place where it describes where these chapter's territory is?

If not, it might be neat to have a sticky on each chapter explaining this!

Just an idea.

I totally agree. Where does Colorado fall or does someone need to start a Rocky Mountain Chapter?

We in the Intermountain Chapter welcome Colorado, but knew ya'll would prolly have a chapter of your own, whenever you got off yer assets, so left that open.

IMHO, any motivated group of NAXJA Members has opportunity to seek chapterhood. Colorado is a ripe area. If folks have interest in forming a NAXJA Chapter, please contact any member of the NAXJA BOD, or any Chapter President for more advice.

Thanks!

Woody, do you mind me putting up a poll in the non tech forum, to gauge Colorado interest?

I think Mark has a great idea though. When I set up my www.campingforums.com site I made sure I included the states in the comments section under each area. See here: http://www.campingforums.com/forum

I think Mark's idea would help membership to the chapters, possibly getting the standard forum users to check out the chapter that covers their state.

Just thoughts.

Do you think there would be any intrest in a Mid American chapter, including: Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Arizona and Texas panhandle? Do these states already belong to a chapter? Is this too big an area for one chapter?

You have to balance a few factors..are there enough MOTIVATED people within the area to make a chapter work..against the distances that would have to be crossed to actually meet up. Sure, we all drive, and enjoy it..but an 8 hour trek for a monthly meeting would get old, pretty darn fast. It's a temptation to throw as wide a loop as possible, to gain members..but anyone beyond say 200 miles..it's gonna be hard for them to meet with real life considerations thrown in. Might want to check out the Members area, see where active Naxja members live around your area, throw up a poll and see how it goes. Intermountain started when we were counting noses at Moab, and figured we had enough to go for it, gathered emails and addy's and 3 months later, had a chapter.
Sorry for the hi-jacked thread wanderings..

when I check on the members from Oklahoma, I find only 1 and I never see him on here or know who he is. Maybe the BOD will let me start the Terry Chapter. All in favor of the Terry Chapter? Aye....It's settled then......FF, add the Terry Chapter to the forum menu.

Wow, that was easy:D
