Call to arms! (Pit crew, 2013 King of the Hammers)

After going to KOH last year and helping out with the Falken Tire team I decided to pick up something to go play with this year.. So for the past two weeks I've been jamming on my 99 xj to get it to a point that could possibly make it up some of the stuff out there.. I'm planning on going out on monday or tuesday and staying til saturday... I don't really know anyone on here but I'll be out in a Gold 99 with black beadlocks on 35" wildpeaks. I'll be around the Falken tire pit on Griffin expressway.. see u guys out there..

Be sure to come by and say hi and introduce yourself.

We'd like to do a crew meeting approx Noon, Wednesday the 6th, to go over the car, pit safety, pit procedure, etc.

KOH charges a $20 fee for spectator access to the event, or a $20 fee for each pit crew member which covers spectator access. For anyone who joins us before the crew meeting on Wednesday, I will cover a pit pass which will grant spectator access to Hammertown the entire week, including for the main event race on Friday.

Revisiting this, the pit passes are $25 this year. With the budget shaping up the way it is, I'll cover the first 10 pit passes and the $5 extra over a spectator pass for anyone beyond that who has arrived by our noon Wednesday meeting.

My rig is finished with plenty of time to work out the bugs. Myself and my buddy(and his rig) will be there

Was trying to get there in time to help pit. But it looks like I have to work a half day on the 7th. Don't think i'll be getting out that way till after 3pm.

Hit me up if you guys end up needing anything that I can grab on the way.

Looks like I'll be there very early Tuesday afternoon. Probably going to caravan with Death Valley Paul, leaving from Temple city.

Just have work for me to do when I get there.

In 2009 the Team NAXJA gang poured beer on our heads when we crossed the finish line. That scene made it into the movie that year, pretty cool. Definitely not suggesting we do that again, it might mess up the cool yellow and blue seats.

But, we will be celebrating any kind of finish, especially a win!

I'm collecting something special to dump on them.....

We can hit them with a brick and pour milk on them. That's pretty close to another race celebration :)

Ouch, that could be ugly. Isn't it step on the bricks and drink the milk?

:)

My CJ's giving me problems, I think there's water somewhere in the igition system from all the rain we've been having. Hopefully it fixes itself in the next week, otherwise I might be a little delayed while I replace half the wiring in my jeep trying to find the problem.

But, I got my VHF radio mounted and working in it.

Im practicing my alcohol consumption skills for next week....

Have you considered shutting your hood before it rains?
