"The individual raindrop does not believe itself to be responsible for the flood."
You are correct that no one agrees with every law written, but the difference is most still obey the law or at least they don't brag about not obeying the law.

Lol, these guys that come out in storms about the freakin cats crack me up. They resort to namecalling and personal attacks cause they can't form an argument to save their lives. Hence the reason I laughed really hard when you said that "this whole place is full of love". You'll learn fast that there is a group of ignorant a-holes that ridicule people that they don't agree with and call them stupid and whatnot. It's ridiculous and funny at the same time.

Seriously, get off the "it's illegal OMG I'd NEVER do anything illegal nor will I ever DO anything illegal". Unless you've never broken a law before or don't think you will ever break a law again then shut up, you're just using that as a stupid argument for your case, and it doesn't work. And I don't know when I EVER said anything about becoming a criminal attorney LOL, there ya go ASSuming things again...

The bottom line is, I don't agree with every law passed, and nobody here does. I don't believe I am making ANY appreciable effect by toolin around without cats. If EVERYONE drove around without cats then maybe it would make some difference but they don't, because not very many people bother modding their vehicle period.

I haven't bought into all the greenwashing and environmental alarmist BS, so now, the green police will lay into me and ridicule me and I think it's HILLARIOUS.

Since intelligent posts were wasted like pearls before swine, I think I will now resort back to petty name calling. . . Tool.

I just want to state that the emissions control laws from the 70s through now have helped. I grew up in the Los Angeles area and have memories from the early 80's through now. The air quality in the Los Angeles basin has increased dramatically over the years. When I was in elementary school we used to have smog days, that was where the air was so bad they didn't let you go outside and play. It also used to be common to not be able to see the downtown skyline from Torrance (about 25 miles) due to the orange haze. Now you can almost always see it (although occasionally it's blocked by haze, but not nearly as orange normally).

Ah c'mon dude its not about you anymore we're ripping on Purple now they all forgot about you already!

Back behind the gym with a pack of Marlboros, a hidden flask, and a knife?

NO!

Actually. . . it was under the bleacher at the football field.. . and I smoked Camels, Reds never tasted very good to me, except those great Reds that we got in Japan while I was in the Marines.

hiiamthomas, meet SBrad001. :wave1:
Not that he's a nasty person, but he's good at it when he wants to be.:D
Common trait in these parts.

I apologized to Thomas for being a little snarky. Hope I don't chase him off, he seems like a nice kid with a reasonable amount of common sense and a decent head on his shoulders.

Can a mod or someone delete this thread, I don't think I can, this thread has too much negativity it's not worth it lol lets put out effort in to more productive things. I am in an Environmental Studies at the College and I asked my professor about the Cat and I should get a new one when i can. I understand and I do not endorse it any longer.

way to be  already learning lol were all nice here.

Ok, you can keep callin me names, OR... you could actually answer my question. Ya know, since you were the one throwin around accusations, prove it. I'll be waiting :D

Listen idiot boy, I gave you answers to why taking off your cat is bad, others gave you very valid legal reasons not to remove your cat. But you ridiculed and mocked us when tired to be reasonable.

See, I've figured out what's wrong with you. . . you suffer from an incurable and possibly fatal case of RCI (that's Rectal Cranial Inversion). For the sake of the gene pool, go play with some bleach and ammonia in a closed room. And for the record I'm not proponent of 'post-birth abortion', but for you I am willing to make an acception.

Idiot.

I don't even remember the question that was asked.

if it was how do cats work: the exhaust gasses pass through a grid coated with palladium, chemical reaction occurs whereby the Nox and Co2 lose an oxygen molecule to the palladium molecules, turning them into less harmful CO and NO. If the basic chemistry has not changed recently.

if it was how purple is endorsing catless being a good thing: That is the general impression I have gotten from him. It is not that you do not run a cat that gets people. It is the fact that your posts seem to encourage others to do the same, heck you seem to flaunt it. And it is illegal. It was not passed to keep the trees greener, it was passed to make cities livable like Seqouia said. I could care less if you personally do not run a cat, but by endorsing it and promoting it you are doing a disservice to the sport and to motor sports as a whole.

Thomas, what seperates you from purple is your willingness to learn, and to admit you are wrong. Cats were pretty restrictive when they first came out. But the new ones are pretty efficient. Most of the guys i ran around with with my camaro, and on those boards as well choose to run cats, even in emission exempt states. Magnaflow cats are cheap, and the hi flow ones cost less due to less palladium. The preformance loss is really not much of a factor anymore.
