Its a damn shame that these two nommines (s/p) are so willing to admit to being in violation of federal emmisions laws. Here in Ak there are few places that have them, however since they are laws you can still be brought up on charges for violating them. I have discovered one interesting thing about my 87 w/ a 4.0 and that is that it is optional to have the cat. I am running a cat on both my rigs but I just thought it was kool that my parts gals told me that.

I'm still amazed that this guy actually as the brain power to walk and breath at the same time and yet he can't form an intelligent, cohesive post that doesn't piss everyone off.

Lol, these guys that come out in storms about the freakin cats crack me up. They resort to namecalling and personal attacks cause they can't form an argument to save their lives. Hence the reason I laughed really hard when you said that "this whole place is full of love". You'll learn fast that there is a group of ignorant a-holes that ridicule people that they don't agree with and call them stupid and whatnot. It's ridiculous and funny at the same time.

Thomas, don't take it personal. Around here anything that could throw wheelers in an unfavorable light is frowned upon. Be it wheeling private land w/o permission, running an unsafe lift/steering combo, or not running a legal exhaust system...either way, lots of good info and people on here.

Hmm some people well above our level, the ones who make the laws decided that we shall run catallitic converters in our on highway vechilces to reduce the pollution that we create. The tiny amount of HP you gain on removing the cat does not make a difference in power. It will yes change the tone however it is point less to remove it for gains on power. if that were of a serious concern there are Cats that offer better flow while still burning off the unburned fuel in your exhaust.
We are not ignorant A-holes, otherwise you would not be here reading the threads were we assist eachother and try to assist you in repair, restoration, modification, maintenance, etc... of your rig and our communities.
We all see things differently Hey difference is good, we may not all agree with each other all the time but together we try to make things better. I know what its like to start to see the same kinds of trends. how many times a week does some body ask what lift should I use? Without researshing a thing. But we try to help them as we are mostly good. Please do not try and bring rivalries into it as its not anybody verus anybody. I know that there are time where I start to write a reply and then end up not submitting it because I did not feel that I was adding anything to our site. Maybe we all should bite our tongues more. I have noticed a trend though there are certain people who come on here and have a chip on thier shoulder that and will not listen to others. Hey to each his own, you know; but don't take out your problems or angst on others. Be willing to read, research, and learn before spouting off. ok rant over.

Hey no worries, call it a test pipe for the time being. They were cool pics, maybe next time have some clean up pic included. tree huggers frequent sites like this as intel on what they can show of us being in the wrong. We don't need to give them any ammo they already take to much out of context for whatever thier adjenda. Just so you know Cat's are a sensitive subject especially when people start braggin about how they are going against the systems that we are to follow. Yeah I'll admit it I am pretty stright laced; but on the other hand I have made mistakes in the past. We are all learning all the time. I forget who said it but the sumation is: We all start out with an empty bag of skill and knowledge and a bag full of luck. The idea is to fill up the bags of skill and knowledge before the bag of luck is empty.

Wait a second, you're promoting illegal activities is cool, intelligent and responsible?
