Oh my, you would not believe how much better my 4.0 HO sounded without the Cat, it roars now. I suppose you oldies would not understand haha just poking fun, everyone is entitled to an opinion.
I'm just razzin you...I think it's dumb takin off the cat, but at the same time, who am I talk when it comes to cheapin out on repairs...:D

ps: I'm only 26.

It's all fun, this whole place is full of love. I love anyone who owns an Xj. Hell cat or not it's still an Xj!

=]]

Hey since this thread is about done, lets turn it into a picture thread, upload pics of your rig wheelin'

In Carson City, there are no emissions laws. That Jeep was mine when the cat went out and I didn't have money to get a new one and it was blocking the exhaust. I just cut it out, emptied it, and welded it back in. It was free..and it does have more power than your $100 dollar summit cat. Sounds better too.

Funny, it's actually a federal law therefore still illegal.

In Indiana there are no emissions laws and i Still keep my cat. My buddy gutted the one on his ZJ and I personally don't like the sound. MY other buddies XJ has no cat and it sounds nice with a super 44 on it. Its too loud for a DD though.

Where are the numbers that prove that it give more power than a high flow cat. Seat of the pants doesn't count!

Before you make yourself look dumb read all the posts, It was taken out because it was broken and clogging the exhaust, it's not like super loud, it just sounds better. It's got a muffler behind in any how so it's still MUFFLED.

sounds unconstitutional to me. Federal government doesn't have the authority.

Let me know how well that argument works. :gee:
