I have had this idea for a while (and apparantly several others have also). So let's make this the "formal" thread to plan and execute such an event.

The idea is to have a "car show" type format where each person brings and "shows" their XJ (stock, lifted, lowered, bugified). Each person would be available to talk about the modifications they have done or haven't done, and each person has the ability to talk to others about different ideas that they see in others Jeep's. I envision a large grass field filled with Jeep's lined up showing off their lifts, shocks, drivelines, roofracks, engines, cages, custom stereos, big batteries, tires, OBA systems, etc, etc, etc..... (I my vision Jeep's are on ramps, easy to see the underside, and they are clean enough to be able to see the underside and not get covered in mud, I am sure that others will not agree;) )

I also envision a large BBQ. I think that we can ask everyone to bring their own meet and a side dish to share. Some salads, some sides, some desserts, etc.

I also see lots of football, soccer, frizbee for everyone includeing the whole family, kids, significant others, dog's, cat's, birds, etc, etc.....

I have a few idea's of a couple of places that we can do this. The top of the list currently is Lake Sammamish state park at the south end of Lake Sammamish (Issaquah, just East of Seattle). But I am open to other places that people might be familiar with that are in the Seattle-Tacoma area (as think this is the most logical central location for lots of people). This needs to be defined reasonably soon to make sure all of the arrangements are made with what ever location we end up agreeing on.

Please feel welcome to provide ideas, concepts, experiences to help make this a success.

I am open for either July 21st or 28th. So if there is a significant preferance from the group I will make it for that weekend.

I was thinking starting early afternoon and finishing up early evening?

Discuss.

Sounds great. I like the idea of Lake Sammamish myself, as we touched on briefly at the M&G. Although, possibly a farther south area could come up, so maybe some of the Oregon(Jamez) guys can make it.

I still vote for Lake Sammamish myself. :D

Not just a members only deal, all are welcome, correct?

Re: Scratch & Dent BBQ

Parking lots are cool as long as there is a grassy area to play da fooseball (don't tell Mama)

Re: Scratch & Dent BBQ

I love that idea. I have been thinking of something similar myself. I will have to make an appointment to get mine waxed and detailed;). I shall dominate the show and shine for sure.

What about an RTI ramp? You know so us mall crawlers can show off our flex. And our CHROME diff covers;)

I envision a very short coned obsticle course?

Good to hear. I just know we had discussed this at the M&G and I'm glad that those who weren't there will be able to participate in the planning. Should be a great event!

Yeah, Mark and I were talking about this, as well as Diana...and Joe contacted me before the M&G...then Michael mentioned it after the M&G. Everything just seems to have been placed at the same time. I'm glad that you're glad. ;)
