Re: Scratch & Dent BBQ

If it's the 21st, I might be able to be there, but if it's the 28th, i won't be there. Got a wedding ceremony that day :)

Re: Scratch & Dent BBQ

I got a line on a ramp we can borrow for the event so we can have a "ramp-off" also;)

If you have diamentions for a ramp I'd be glad to make one in my shop for the group.

Hey, if we get two ramps we can have a jump-off. First one across the lake wins!

I nominate Matt for first run .. :D

Re: Scratch & Dent BBQ

Update:

This event will be July 21st. Most likely early afternoon throu dusk (time to be set in stone later this month).

I have talked to both Lk Sammamish State Park and Marymoor Park.
I will be meeting with the rangers at Lk Sammamish on May 29th to see the area he is recommending (they will rope off a section of a parking lot for about 50 vehicles, near a large grass field and BBQ pit's). I am not sure on cost yet if any.

Marymoor also hase a large field they could offer with BBQ near by and I will look at their facilities as well between now and then. The charge there is $110 for the BBQ area to be reserved and $2 per car on the field.

I am leaning towards the Lake Sammamish area at the moment but will post up what I settle on once I have seen them both.

Either way, I have estimated approximately 50 vehicles and 100 people as the most we would have?
If we do have to pay for these facilties it might cost each of us as much as $5 or $10 per family. I am still sticking to the bring your own meet and a side dish to share.

If anyone wants to review other facilities to compare please let me know your intentions within this time period so that I can make a final decision on May 29th.

Thanks again for spearheading this, Michael. I still think Sammamish will be the best spot, having spent a bunch of time at both locations. You can even swim at Sammamish, and those who own boats are encouraged to bring them; the boat launch isn't far away.
