Annual Toy Run!!

gonna be the first or second week of december still waiting to here back from the ronald mcdonald house

I would like to go on this run for sure! I am new to 4wheeling. Only been on one run with the guys from Cherokeeforum but I am hooked. :yelclap:

That's the weekend my kids come flowing home for the holidays, but they understand my priorities =). Besides, maybe Alden would actually be able to come with me; she was bummed out last year (especially when I sent her pix of the Jeep on snow).

I'm looking at the second weekend guys and girls... I will start a new thread as soon as i get some more confirmation.

so toyotawrench <ted> and i preran a trail today and found it to be quite fun. its in the same area as cleghorn but about 20 minutes longer. and alot of photo spots and a historical lookout along the trail that gives u an awesome view of the whole valley...

we may be running this trail!!

Tob where in fullerton ru? Pics of the rig? Welcome to the club!

Hey Wrench, thanks for the welcome. I live near Rolling Hills Dr. and State College and work at Extron in Anaheim. We are new to Orange County and to 4wheeling; we went on one run with some of the guys from cherokeeforum and heard about the Toys for Tots run over there. We are itching to get out again.

Hey man, sweet roll over red :P, I know exactly where that is, your pretty close to my gf. Hope to see you out there bud.

p.s.

on a side note i was informed that if we could raise $5000 we could sponsor a run at the house for a whole year. that would help hundreds of people through out the year ..

either thru member donations and vendor donations or what not... if not able to raise that much I would like to see a possible cash donation given this year as well as our toy donation

I know that cash is tight these days, is there a way that we can turn some vendor donations into some cash by holding a raffle if we could get enough vendors to donate some prizes? I have a friend that makes a cool CB radio audio interrupt device and he would like to donate one for the event. I have contacts at some other off-road companies as well. I cannot say for sure that they will donate but I would definitely be willing to ask if this would help.

Has the date and location for this event been set yet?

I will be trying to work on vendor donations for raffle like we did last year. however with times being tough vendors are tight.

as for the weather and conditions.. that will be a factor.. i will be running the trail a couple weeks prior to verify that its still a go. if not we will default back to cleghorn which will have snow and mud but ussually is passable.

Just made a post in the vendors section requesting donations of either money or product, hopefully we can turn out a good raffle and get some money raised this year for the rmd house. And maybe instead of doing toys this year, maybe just make it about raising funds? Make it 20 a vehicle to run comes with 2 tickets and if you want more tickets make them like 5/per so we can raise some fundage?

IDK - buying the toys is half the fun..

Do the Ronald McDonald house folks need toys or if we do cash, do they even have the time to go do the shopping? Would cash be better as it could be used for other things for the house?
