A Humboldt-Cherokee Blog.

Sean,

I might have missed it. What size are the tires? My son has the Rubicon wheels and is ready for new tires. Those may be a little big though. Looks great!

Looks good, I need to sport the two tone paint too. What did you use? Bedliner?

Thanks guys.
255/85/16- So 33.4 x 10.4 r16.

Gearing is 4.56. Front lockrite. The gear ratio is perfect. It revs at 2250 at 65 mph.
The vibes are gone!

And yeah, the black paint is duplicolor spray on bed liner.

You get terrible gas mileage and you should sell it to me. :P

Glad to hear the vibes are gone. Awesome XJ.

LOL good point.

I think it was the tires being taller.

But wait!

No girlfriend, Meant more money, so I could buy the tires!

I've got 99 problems...

Next girlfriend needs to have money so you don't have to slow down the build. Or better yet, she helps you buid your rig by buying you stuff for your XJ. :kissyou:

They work for me. :(

I decided that my rail shifter wasn't all it could be. I had the torque converter switch up near the arm rest. It was exhausting to shift, switch the clutch on, accelerate, then turn the clutch off, shift, repeat.

So, the solution was to move the switch next to the shifter.
Now it's perfect! I can lock the clutch up, shift, and unlock no problem.
Just a simple piece of plastic and 20 minutes.

BTW. If you're on jeepforum.com, I need your vote for January cherokee of the month.

For Columbus:

I just voted for you even though you had all that stupid "Jetta wagon" talk a few weeks ago. I figured that maybe it was just some young kid trying new stuff in college - I hope that experimentation phase has passed. I think we all learned an important lesson and can come away from it stronger.

For Everyone:
I have recently been blessed with moderator powers that make some sort of Super Hero on NAXJA...so don't mess with me or I'll edit your threads for spelling errors and correct your grammar. Don't try me - I got an A+ in my college English course over 10 years ago.
