A couple upgrades to the MJ

I'd suggest tabs on the tube so youre not crating any openings for water to get in there. But yeah some outter skin would be cool.

Yup, there will be tabs welded to the tube and the aluminum skins will be bolted to the tabs. I'm still not sure it will be water tight though .... I'm curious to see what they come up with as the final plan. I'm also interested to see what kind of latch system they put on the lids - they need to hold the lids tight so they aren't bouncing all over the place on the trails.

I am fairly certain that Jordan has gone all Kastein on this thread until he gets his MJ back. He is a sad sorry little man without his MJ...

Yea now that you sold it you should buy bill dunn's buggy and well KOH it up next year in that.

& build it all up with Rob's parts he has in the classifides now....

Your rig looks awesome. I finally was able to get your old steering set up on mine...cant wait to get it out on the trail to see how it stands up to the abuse. Looking forward to seeing your rig as it progresses.

Got a teaser pic from the shop today. Some of the things I really like are

The LED bed light. Its wired to a switch in the cab.
The LED back-up lights.
The air hose connection mounted on the rear bumper. There is an additional connection up under the front bumper. I could run two air hoses at once.
The high lift jack mount on the X behind the cab.
The new rockers.

The skins will be bolted on and sealed so the boxes will be water tight. Each of the four boxes will have a separate lid with a locking hatch.

I'm gonna have to paint the cab now .... it looks really dingy compared to the shiny new bed.

Truck will come home early next week!!!!
