"From Russia with love" eh? I LOVE IT.

Stoked that I inspired this existing. WAY TO GO BURIK and friends! I want to see some video of you beating up the streets in it. :)

will try to make some video soon =)
mine doesn't make a burnout (( still thinking about changing the gear sets in the axles.. or a small boostup ? =)

Yeah man, turn the boost up a little bit. What pressure are you at now? Granted I'm a one-wheel wonder at the moment...but when I throw her sideways and the diff splits it right she goes loose like a "honey badger" and she just don't give a shit. I find it hard to believe you are having difficulty blowing up the rear tires. My 2J isn't THAT much bigger than your 1J...they are both phenomenal powerplants. :)

You know, I could light up my P285/75R16s when I had the stock 3.55:1 8.25 in the back. Now that I am running 4.56:1 gears and a Detroit locker, no can get it to break loose.

Its a shame really.
That it just, launches off the line...
Kind of sucks, eh?

It was funny. The day I put the new tires on, the guys at the tire store bet me $50.00 that I could not do a burn out. Said, "Way too much rubber on the road"... Made an easy $50.00 that morning. Good thing I still had the stock axle under it.

I'm afraid that if I put a locker in the stock d35 and floor it, it'll explode. Maybe it won't, since the power comes on relatively gradually, but still, it's the only axle I have, and given how much time I've taken doing the upgrade, my wife would f-ing KILL me if I just blew up the axle, lol! Nevermind I that I don't have the cash flow for a locker at the moment. :)

Don't you have a welder? :gee:

Buy a chrysler 8.25 when you see one in the sub 100 dollar range. I've gotten a few for free (parts-only condition), one for 50 bucks, and another for 100. Keep it and the parts to swap it in around in your spares collection and then blow that 35 up in style!

Ha. I'm no squid...though admittedly I do exhibit squid-like symptoms every now and again. My helmet is DOT at least, and I usually rock a proper jacket. :)
