Your user name..

TomC was taken. I started my career as a boat mechanic in the Coast Guard, then went to Buicks at a dealership, then to buses at the county, then after 9/11 back to boats with the CG...all "B"s but "BWrench" didn't sound so good. Was never a very good mechanic and got promoted so I would quit breaking things. But "Desk Rider" or "Paper Pusher" wouldn't sound so good either.

My 3 year old Grand daughter calls me PoppaT and it fits a license plate so I may be changing here in the future.

I really don't know why I chose mine, I just needed a name to use for this, and most people usually call me by my last name, so instead of going with all the nicknames derived from Begley (pronounced beg-lee, no one can pronounce it right or spell it right ever, 7th grade teacher called me "beagle" like the dog until the year was almost over)
So instead of the many (ie. begs, beags, bags, bagpipes, which turned into pipes, etc) Begster sounded somewhat cool, easy enough, and I think I also had just watched Top Gun, so seemed like Jester. I now use this for my other forum and other stuff.

my is tinbender because i had a toy runner and every time out i got a new dent, and toyota's all you have to do to get a dent is look at the dam thing

My screen name actually has two meanings, one is my occasional bouts with foot in mouth disease. And the other is, like the happy motorcycle rider with bugs in his teeth, it is always smart not to smile to much and to keep your mouth shut, when flag starting a couple of Jeeps in a mud pit. Especially when you aren't real sure where the mud came from and it smells vaguely of cow manuer.

When I first enlisted, my CO couldn't pronounce my name, so he just called me Mac. Then I got promoted, and I was sergeant Mac. Sgtmac didn't look quite right, so I added the k. Now it's just me that doesn't look quite right.

My user name is Gigage, From the research I did Gigage in the cherokee language means (Red) kind of. So I drive a red cherokee. damn I'm smart

My Cherokee is Red. I have a business that utilizes a modified Swiss Cross/Shield (like the knife). I stuck a magnetic copy of the shield on the sides of the Jeep, the next thing you know, it's a Swiss Army Jeep. That, combined with the fact that anything we need when camping is somehow found in my rig (like the knife). Oh yeah, did I mention that I collect knives?
Hasta

I always wanted to be a locomotive engineer, but I just can't seem to get off of welfare.

Now I'm too old so here I sit collecting the check and stamps. :dunno:

Trust me... seriously. You do NOT want the username TomC around here. Not a positive thing amongst us old timers.

Well my name is Brad and the BOB stands for Buckets O Beef. A girl-friend of mine used to call me BOB because of the big old IH pickup that used to drive. I think she was being sarcastic.
