Loaded the Buggy on a trailer and sent it on it's way to Ohio, Now I have a Polaris rzr 800 and it has had the motor built, It is gonna be a whole different kind of fun now.

I know I havent...and I just got the Limited Edition Ranger, not a Razor...yet.

I still have my 98 DD, it is 2 wheel drive but I have a front diff and a trans sitting out in the garage, once I come along a good deal on a transfercase, driveshafts and linkage, I will set me up a mild one for family trips to the local spots.

Must be something in the water...

It seems the way of the future.

The DNR hates Jeeps/Trucks here. They love ATVs and Sidebys because:
* They get all the revenue directly from the owner $30 or so/Unit.
* The machines weigh less than the lightest Jeep.
* The DNR can more closely manage where they can go by making cheap sustainable trails in coordination with ATV Clubs.
* Though Coordination with local Municipalities (who also get a cut of revenues from the gas tax), there are ATV routes set up.

The bad is that you have this 10K machine just sitting there on the trailer waiting for you to use it sometime. I drive my Jeep daily, so it owes me nothing.

My jeep sat on a trailer waiting for me to use it also so no different now

Three of my brothers have Razr's. Hope you like working on them and buying very expensive parts. Every trip they go out, one of them comes home in a non-operating mode.

One brother got smart, sold his and bought an Arctic Cat Wild Cat. That thing is too impressive for words and as far as I know...in the year he has owned it, has not failed him.

Boy, you are negative. ..

Not trying to be. Just seen my brothers get burned. Hate to see it happen to others.

It sucks too because they are a killer platform. After seeing all the problems my brothers have had I just can't help but think that Polaris didn't fully complete the R&D phase of their design.

For example, all three of them have replaced very expensive clutches because the air intake to cool them is down low where they can get a lot of dust and dirt into them.

One of my brothers had the engine case break. Polaris couldn't even fix it. They said it would cost more than buying a new one. This was a couple of days after the extremely short 3 mo warranty. They wouldn't work with him at all. He's the one who bought the Wild Cat. He is still fighting with Polaris over the cost of his other one and its probably going to end up in court.

My buddy bought a brand new wildcat the first week of february.

Its a giant POS.

Its been back to the dealer three times and he still doesn't have it back. It has 2 miles on it. Some issue with how it was built from the factory and they "think" they have it figured out. It cost him racing it at TREC at the badlands this weekend.

He wishes he would've just bought an RZR I think.

My machine sees use every day. At FestFest I remember a participant saying "man, for a 5 month old machine this looks well used" :D Mine is for work first, play second. It has not seen a day that it has not been used by me or the hired hands. It is a irreplaceable piece of machinery on our operation, especially in this mud and snow during calving season. But when the work is done we do go play too...thinking about getting my son a RZR mini...but he is going to have to sell a few of his calves to help offset the $6000 price tag. :farmer:

Can-Ams are showing up in droves here at windrock...my buddy works trail maintenance and sees a few more every weekend. They're the most expensive of all the sxs but they are probably the nicest. and comfy for a tall guy like me too

if i had a spare 18k id be in one.....

Short"whole different tax bracket for me"xjdoug

teh hunting lease I have in South dakota has a few of these Can Am's...they run like some crazy speed 70mph? and they are stable. They use them to drive to twon and like a car...but way cooler. There is some new big cc unit that they were talking about buying, it was like $22K....stupid expensive, I would buy a vette and pick up college girls and do smokey burnouts.
