work party, escondido

so i got her some new shoes today. 35x12.5x15 cooper discovery sst's, got them new, didnt want to dick around with used tires again.
hit 80mph and no signs of death wobble, so i guess it was the tires afterall!

tires look good....

if you really don't want to worry about the 30, consider CTMs.

That d30 gonna hold up to your lead foot? :D

LOL i was wondering that myself,
It should be ok, i have chromos and a pretty beefy diff cover. :D

Chromos should be good. (if your not with jeeperjohn that is):anon: Its the ring and pinion you need to worry about now. :eyes:

the riddler diff cover should help a ton with deflection. i've actually been fairly nice to it since the lockers.

Guess that locker, chromos w/ 35's didn't work out so well huh? Sure looked good breaking it though.

the locker worked out fine, it's the chromo shafts that didnt :D
just got it all apart now, the shaft has had better days.....

Dan broke the end off his shaft by hitting it too hard...

i have a piece of SS tubing for you....

thankfully it's getting warrantied. the new one should be here tomorrow.

figured out the drag link got bent when i was backing up and a rock was underneath and caught the back side of the tie rod end. it is noticeably marked from the rock and the grease fitting is ripped off.

got the new passenger side seal installed, and the carrier put back in. the driver's side is all squared away, just waiting on UPS to deliver the new passenger shaft so i can drive it again.

Drag link + hammer. I've solved that problem many, many times with a few good whacks from a mini-sledge. :D

Jeep looks really good, man!
haha, yea, i sort of fixed it like that on the trail, and i will fix it a little better and keep it as a spare. i had a spare good drag link kicking around so im just going to toss that in for now.

and thanks man!

got it all back together, the bent oil slinger was the noise i was hearing in the front end. everything is good now, just needs an alignment. let's go wheelin!

got some goodies this week. grizzly locker for the hpd44, and some 12x2.0 fox coilovers for the front.
