work party, escondido

So the officials just got in trouble they are making 100,000 plus and gave themselves bonuses and had the rank and file city workers take a paycut. Esco city officials are scum. Look up that article show it to your code officer and see if they really care much anymore.
ye, i heard it all from my buddy who is a detective in esco. effing scumbags.

not much for work done lately, i had to do real work. i did manage to order some stuff, i got the 5x5.5 wheels i needed for the new axle, and i got all the gear stuff ordered for the front end. went through robert at rwkhaussupply and got new 4.56's, new chromoly inner shafts, and a master install kit. also got my axle side coilover brackets for the rear axles. just need to find some front coilovers and i pretty much have everything i need.

got the second tower done. all that's left is a little sheetmetal work for some gap filling, then it's ready for paint, undercoating underneath, and rino liner in the back.
it's about 29" between the towers at the narrowest point so my fiberglass gear box will still fit in the back.
i'll be bolting the axle up to the lower control arms in a few.

didnt get much done today. just got some angled sheetmetal welded in to tie in the wheel wells to the shock towers and fill all the gaps. put down some seam sealer and now the insides are ready for rhino lining and the undersides are ready for paint and undercoating. it's completely sealed off to the outside, which was a requirement for me. i'm pretty happy how it came out so far. too dark for pics, so maybe tomorrow.
i also got my gears, install kit, and chromoly shafts for the front dana 44 from robert today. last but not least, i got the rear axle back under the heep (not installed yet). i went to bolt in the rear lower control arms, but i did not like the poly bushings on one end of the arms, so i ordered up some Johnny joints from Currie. They'll be here tomorrow hopefully, so i can get my rear end bolted in. I want this thing on the ground by the end of the week.
Things left to do in the rear of the vehicle:
*cut off shock mounting brackets on axle and weld on different ones (changed my mind on where i wanted them)
*change polly bushings for Johnny Joints on one end of each rear lower control arm
*bolt up rear lower control arms and rear driveshaft
*position axle where it will be at ride height, and figure out pinion angle
*bolt upper control "wishbone" to axle so i can figure out where out where to weld the upper brackets on the body
*weld on upper brackets and bolt everything in
*connect the rear brake flex line to the body side hard line
*bolt up coilovers
*swap out brake booster, prop valve, and master cyl
*bleed brakes
*slap on wheels and take her for a rip!

Bringing Chester? Gonna have room for the high-lifts?
probably bring the Saturn unless i jump in with Mike. either way, yea, no problem!
i'd bring chester, but it's full of 33" tires, rims, and an exocage :D

Aww bummer, who put all that junk in there?

When you get it cleaned out, I nominate you chauffering the rest of us on a brewery tour.

So which one is Saruman's tower?

Looking really good. You may actually make it to the jambo ?

thanks man, you should swing by for a beer and check it out! dont worry, i wont make you work.
i should be able to make it, but it will be close. the rear is almost done, and that was the hardest part of the body fab. i think i'm going to just throw in my d30 for the time being since i doubt i'll get the d44 done in time.
i probably have a full day's worth of work to get the front swaped in. probably 2 days to get the rear all squared up. granted, i wont have a full day for a while, so it will be an hour here, an hour there.

still got room for a 33"x12.5 spare!
got the towers sprayed with bed liner, i still need to prep the floor before i do that.

Right on! No beer for me until the jambo. Probably won't be at the M&G tonight either. Just raw veggie/fruit juice for me, hehe. But I'd totally stop by, even to lend a hand. S'ok, I won't make you drink veggie juice. You can have the beer. Maybe next week? I want to swap out my coils on my Jeep first. Might do that later this week or weekend.

Yeah, I'm guilty lush too. And my willpower sucks. But I'm going to cut back so hopefully the death of me doesn't come sooner then I'd think it would normally. Not that that's infallible. Cancer sucks, so do car accidents.

But like there have been so many weekends where I just basically drink all weekend pretty much from one thing to the next. Thanks to events, bottle releases, and parties I just can't say no to. Not that I would choose to do that on my own. No joke, like I mean I'm at a brewery at 9am drinking beer for a bottle release event. Then off to a party during the day, and then another event at night. I'm not an alcoholic though, I just play one on twitter. I've done the crime, it's time to due my time and abstain.
