work party, escondido

just started it, doesnt seem to be leaking yet, but i assume it will eventually.

Wait what? You went through all that work, busted a exhaust stud off and put it back together with out fixing it the right way? Knowing its gonna come back to bite you!

Master Machinist couldn't figure how to remove a broken bolt huh?

it was already back together when the bolt broke. it was litterally the last bolt, and i did not have the time to redo the whole job. when it leaks, i'll pull it apart and fix it. sure, i could have pulled the head and fixed it then and there, but it would have been exactly the same amout of work as if i wait to fix it when it leaks. even then, i'll probably still run it unless it gets so bad that it wont pass smog. the thing has over 220k on it, there's a good chance i'll kill the motor before it becomes an issue lol

And always busted on the trail? i count 2 trailside repairs that took less than 20 minutes. plenty of people here have me beat. even then, i'm not sure bent stock steering on 35's shoulld really count haha

Marc, i was looking at my door damage today and i saw grabber green paint embedded into my newest work. trying to figure out what you went through before me where your rock rails rubbed followed by my passenger doors. I suppose i could have hit it the following week though.

Maybe you should get driving lessons from Marc if your doors are hitting where his rock rails are.

Well that, or build some decent rails, those spaghetti ones just arent cutting it

it was the very bottom of my doors, probably would have been saved by decent rails, but really, what's the point of building some now? to protect my dents?

I think i'm going to make some tube doors with wrangler type snap or zip up windows.

HA!
