we welcome all rigs, from stock to wild. There are plenty of rigs that show up in stock form and run the green trail. If you can pass the tech inspection and have all the required safety items, come on out! If you can not pass tech, come out and visit and hang out at the camp fire...Winterfest is not all about the wheeling. :thumbup:

I'd be interested in going, but not sure if I can get the time to come out. I have an all stock '86 XJ, 3.55 gears, open diffs, and some old school 225/75/15 Radial Rovers. Am I going to be laughed out of town showing up in this?

I showed up to my first WF in a bone stock MJ with street tires and managed to run the green trail.

No one will laugh at you for your rig.

Nope but how much do you like your rockers? They might get a little beat up without some sort of protection. Just make sure it can pass tech.

My rockers did just fine though I did buff some paint off of one and I bumped a lower control arm bracket in the creek. Other than that the only damage was mud spray under the hood, a pile in the backseat and a blown maxi fuse.

Thanks guys for easing some of my worries. Would I be better off doing one of those budget 1.5-2" lifts (longer shackle and coil spacer) for WF? Guess I'll see what I can do about making some rocker guards.

you'll be suprised how well your rig will do in stock form.

besides, you've got one of the few vintage XJ's left.

I just registered as "Stone" and will be interested in this newbie program.

Stock 93 XJ country with 225/70/15 tires.

Looks like the smallest feet found in this thread. Will definitely do a 3'' lift and upgrade tires after the WF.
