Ok,

Who is ready for Winterfest and who is not. We are only two months away. Can't wait!!
So what do you have to do to your jeep to get it ready or is it good to go.
Just curious to see how many people are waiting till the last minute to be ready or are ready to go.

As for me, I have a good list to work on in the next couple of months:

front driveshaft conversion
replace tranny mount
8.8 swap in the rear
exhaust front to back
replace side window on passenger side
plugs, wires, cap, and rotor
change all fluids
mount cb

and many more small things.

So who is ready and who is not. Lets hear it.

Kim.

well i NEED to shim the rear at the very least. I would like to have my exhaust manifold changed, an alignment done, rear main NEEDS to be done, possibly a new lift (tax return) i guess you can say i'm not ready but i will be/should be. I'm excited to meet you all and have a good time!

i gotta finish putting my wifes TJ together before i can get my XJ in the garage. the list for the TJ is to long to list right now, but luckily i'm unemployed so i can spend every day in the garage. should have it done in the next 2 weeks.

Once i get my XJ in the garage i gotta install a 3" lift kit i got for X-mass. rig up the exhaust to last a little longer till i slam it in the next rut again, and find out what that horrible clunking noise on braking and accelerating is. sounds either like my driveshaft is about to fall out or i'm loosing a control arm. can't seem to find anything though. oh yeah. this saturday i'm going to a friends to weld new floors in the XJ.

well i would like to make it to my first WF next year so i can meet you guys. i need bumpstops, possibly front brakes, and mostly stuff to take ,to be out of town for a couple of days(always forget something). stuff i would like would be, sye, rear driveshaft, more lift, and a new header. having said all that, as a birthday present, my wife is takin me to Daytona Fla. for speed week(Daytona 500) in the middle of February (10 days of vacation). now i'm not complaining, because it will probably be a once in a lifetime deal for me, but it is right in the middle of time to get wrenching, which i don't do too much of anyhow because of cold weather and no heat in my garage to begin with. so i hope i can still make it and have some cash left over for another trip outa town. hope to see some of you guys at some point.....

MUST INSTALL:

Motor Mounts (Rusty's Rubber)
Front spring spacers 2" RE's
Rear Shackles RE's
Re-bumpstop front and rear
Rear 4 degree shim
Bumper mount my Hi-Lift
BG Flush of trans and replace Royal Purple
Change D30 and C8.25 oil, Paint covers

MAYBE:$$$ dependent

33X12.5 BFG MT's
MAYBE change rear main seal (starting to leak some)
CO2 tank and hose.

I am ready also, as long as Rev, Randy, Brad, and Howie don't mind scooting me around on a floor jack again!
standard

P.S. See Mark, there is your tire !

Is the chair there just in case it slips off the jackstands?
Oh, and the creeper works better without all the kitty litter.

I'm ready! Well, I still need to pack, and buy food, and finish painting the trailer, but I'm just about ready. And maybe put a locker in the D30. And fix the trac bar. But other than that, yeah, I'm ready.

If I get the HP44 swap done...

I'll be ready...

But due to "circumstances"....

I'll probably stay close to home...

Maybe I'll even work on the stroker with the money saved!

Have all the parts for these:
install front driveshaft
make front diff breather hose
swap radiator

possibly -
buy and install rear locker

who is ready to have a WF forum?

My Jeep is ready for Winterfest ... there are some things that need repaired, but nothing to prevent it from doing Badlands.

Les

I just need to get mine detailled.

I've still got to finish buying my skidplates so I'm not carrying parts home instead of driving. Of course, now I'm going to China for the next 2 weeks so hopefully I'll be able to find the money when I get back. Other than that I think I'm about ready to go. I'll just pick up one of those beijing jeeps while I'm over there :laugh3:... I wish.

Mike
