who's ready and who's not?

The shocks I have now are from a Rough Country 3" lift and they are way to long. If Ranger does not want to swap than I will give your shocks a try. Thanks Bob.

Kim.

FWIW, I ended up using stock length shocks on my 8.8. They were pretty new off of our parts Jeep. I have plenty of travel with mine. I raised my mouts to the center of the tube, and I'm at 3 1/2 in the rear. Don't know if that info. will help any, but there you go.

I think that stock xj shocks would work for me but I don't want to buy new ones right now. Just some old used ones will work for now as long as I don't have the hard bottoming out anymore. I also welded my mounts flush with the tube and my springs gave me about 4.5"-5" of lift but still I have only about 2" of play in the shocks.

The only thing I can say right now is,
"If it were easy, the women and children would be doing this!"

I an done for tonight!

Tomarrow is a brighter day!
Well the front end is 99%.
I need to get a longer bolt for the right side where the tie rod and drag link join.

The rear....
Well I tore it apart again this eve.
Seems my spool is acting like an open diff.
the short side shaft isn't turning with everything else.
So the rear is back out and the shafts are pulled out and I am scratching my head.
The shaft is long enough, it goes clear into the spool.
They are not backwards the long side fully engauges and works fine just sticks out an inch.
I am puzzled!

I might be Jeepless!
Can I lead pink with the Super Duty?

How many people are bringing firewood? Is there going to be enough? I can bring some if needed.

Kim.
I have about a pickup load to bring, but we are much better off with too much wood than not enough. We may even want to get a couple of fires going. Bring whatever you can, it won't hurt a thing. :)

Eureka!
Any one have a short side shaft for a waggy rear 44 they would like to run over to my house today?
The one that is giving me troubles is only a 29 spline shaft.
it will not work.
I will go scrounging Monday to see if I can find something that will work.
Otherwise, I will be Jeepless.

I'm going to bring some wood also. Just in case. And I hope to have the rocker rails on tomorrow. Other than that, I'm ready.

29 spline? how many splines do they make a 44 shaft in? 27,30,33,35 and now we have proof of a 29....

I got my rear bumper finished today. Needs trimmed, painted and the shackles put on.

I'll bring half a MJ load of wood.

I'm bringing some firewood as well. JIM.
