Which place to camp for coal creek???

Any advice on which camp ground is the better to camp in a tent??
I'm trying to determine which is better. Windrock Camprground or Windrock Park? Windrock Campground is a little cheaper but it's like 6 years old where as Windrock Park is just 1 year old but it costs more. I'm thinking the park is cleaner maybe but i'm told they have no shade. Windrock campground has shade (going memorial day). I've never been to either so what do you guys think? Both are about the same distance from the trails also.

So what is it? W Campground or W Park???

My vote is for Windrock Park. The bathhouse is really nice and everything is laid out really well.

I've camped and stayed in a cabin (Presidential Suite).

Iv'e camped at both. The Campground is more shaded, better protected from bad weather, and a nice creek in the back.

The Park has much better bathhouses, more rome for RVs, better views of the mountains.

i have only stayed at the Park but accidentally went to the Campground first... my experience was nice at the Park and great view plus the road to the Park is all two lane where the road to the Campground to OHV entrance is barely one lane gravel road...

my pick is the PARK

i too have stayed at both...

and for a few bucks more... having a nice bath house is well worth it.

Winrock Park gets my vote

The parking lot is pretty cosmopolitan. Especially when the drunken quad races start at 0300 or so.
