Where did you go wheeling this weekend?

wheeled only a small portion of 2N04 and Knickerbocker for the 4th of July

A small portion of 2N04? It's a small trail!

I did 2N04 on Saturday as well as the Big Bear Village and was thoroughly lazy the rest of the weekend.

We ran 2n04, 2n61ya (Pontiac Sluice), 2n61y, (Heartbreak Ridge), 2n70y... stayed. @ my buddies bosses house in Rimrock then can back and ran a few more trails on the way back. As soon as I get the pics uploaded ill post em.

Explored around south of Nelson, found mostly graded dirt roads. Ended up camping by the river on Fire Mountain Cove Rd. West Powerline Wash Rd was a fun drive, even if it was a nice and smooth one lane road, recently scraped. Not sure why it's called a "wash" rd, it never follows any.

Then headed up toward Boulder City on Saturday around lunch time, ran a few more trails before heading home.

Went wheeling up to this rock 33.218124, -117.163085 with my wife and son to watch the fireworks on the Fourth Ended up being about to see 10-12 shows from there. The trip back down was entertaining as well.

Saturday night, met up with CaliXj and 45shutr and an unnamed Land Rover and night wheeled Lawerence Welk in the cool of the night.

Went out on my brother's boat. We were out from about 7:30 -3:30.

OK, maybe I'll go farther south to the lake itself next time, it's just a longer drive from Vegas and less scenic than down in the canyon. I know there's fish here, I can see them swimming around and jumping, and one time I found a 32" striper floating around belly up. They're just not interested in eating what's attached to my hook.

well see now there is the problem. no hooks, you just float around untill you see one, dunk your head in and when you pop back up with a fish in your mouth you yell goony goo goo gus. but yea, thats a ways from vegas for sure. you probably have better fishing up there than further down. mead holds alot of fish too. unfortunatly i never get up that far. i bet its got alot of great trails and scenic views. not much better than taking a nice long trail then ending up at the side of a river or lake. man i need to get out more.

I thought I learned some new Spanish. Went and asked my friend Jose and he looked at me like I was crazy!

None of my friends were around to go wheeling once again, so I went looking for a new trail and place to fish. Ended up on Boathouse Cove Rd, on the northwest side of Lake Mead. Just a 10 miles long wash road, stock jeep friendly but not completely lame. Turned out to be a decent fishing hole, I pulled in 5 catfish (nothing very big though) in under 3 hours but I didn't take enough bait or beer so I had to call it a night earlier than I'd wanted, drove home at sunrise.

Was planning to go to Johnson Valley, but when I pulled out the map when I was gassing up in Barstow, it was destroyed from water damage. So went to Big Bear instead, it was some really great camping weather up there.

No problem making it up the rock that took out my driveshaft at SoCal Fest.

We were going up John Bull but my friend's mostly stock CJ-7 wasn't doing too good so we turned around and went back down.
