What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Crusher a guy over toward Ft Worth is parting out a 2door 98 I think. I was looking for interior trim but of course that wont fit mine. I will PM you his number.

Four trips in the heat today with AC on and the oil pressure was 53 PSI at start up and 28 PSI minimum at idle or in sharp very slow turns. Not bad ffor 288,000 miles on the 87 Wagoneer.

oil pressure issue sorted. replaced the sending unit and fired it up, no leaks and 50+ psi of pressure on start. let it run for a bit and was about halfway up to temp it was still above 40psi. love it when its something easy!

also think i sorted out the rough occasional idle and why the jeep sputtered really bad when i splashed it through a puddle. while taking off the OPSU i removed one of the plug wires to give me some more room. when i did i noticed it came off a bit too easy. so when i put it back on i went to push down the others just to make sure, the other 5 clicked down onto the distributor solidly. so im guessing all 6 were loose. so i then checked them at teh plugs and 1 3 and 6 all clicked down. its surprising the thing was running at all haha. ordering a tuneup kit for it next week.

going to try and throw the trans cooler on tonight and maybe take it out and get it dirty again this weekend.

Replaced the busted brake line and bled the brakes. It is hot outside.

Picked up a front drive shaft yesterday too.

What year is it? The hardest part on my dad's 06 was the stupid torx bolt. As soon as we had a proper torx socket it came right out.

So did we, but they were cheap and twisted the bit. IIRC it's like a t-55

There are some cheap cast torx bits out there that will snap right off. Use forged ones only. Usually the chrome vanadium plated ones are forged. Mine are the L-handled ones (not the socket type that broke on me), and I use a mini cheater pipe on them, the l-shaped ones, all the time to save my hands from unneeded stress.

Mines overheating in this heat. Looks like the radiator is leaking from the passenger side tank now. Yay.

Think I might ditch my e-fans and go back to stock too.

I'd ditch them. The amount of HP gained isn't worth the loss of cooling that you get.

Do you still have the stock radiator?

I need to change the one in my truck, it's leaking

Not a stock radiator. Is a "2 ROW ALL METAL CONSTRUCTION" from my receipt from 2012. Thanks Radiator Barn.

Things you should buy from the dealer: sensors, thermostat, radiator.

Wish I could just buy a whole new XJ from the dealership. Thoughts of selling mine have come up.

O.O no don't sell,

When you say dealership you mean to buy another used XJ or are you going to the rainbow side and wanting a new Chxxxkxx (I can't name it the holy name of Cherokee).
