Mixed day today.
Bought a new tire and got it mounted on the new wheel so the Saturn has spare now. Tried three places today to get a front end alignment and wasted 5 hours. Last me tried to shaft me and sell $150 in camber bolts for camber strut alignment it does not need and refused to align it after they took it apart, and left it further out of alignment that I had it just eyeballing it. Needless to say I am pissed.
Planning to build my own alignment hardware and do it myself. These front wheel drive new fangled beasts are a pain compared to jeeps.
Speaking of beasts, LOL, check out the tool I am working on

Plant to check the AC on the 89 jeep this morning at sun rise.
On one good note my Snap-on brick arrived
, but with a stuck and dead 9V battery. Had to pry it out of the case, was worried something was going to break, but I got it out, and it works like a charm so far.
That said the 1999 troubleshooting cartridge for jeeps arrived with an Asian only label on it. Hope they just screwed up or I will be real pissed in the mean time it sets me back time wise. Also I now head from old timers on the snap on tool site that I may need a 99 primary cartridge (about $80) to be able to use the 99 Transmission cartridge. Then I discovered I need special old style serial cable as the Jeep-1 cable will not work directly nor will it connect directly to the MT-2500 brick, so I just shelled out another $25 and a 4-5 day wait to able to test it out on any of my vehicles :rattle:
Still need to get to my shop and test the new tool cruiser54 made for me to remove that stubborn gas tank flange on the white 4x4 89 Jeep....
Bought a magnet electronic angle gauge tonight ($25 with Amazon prime
) to use with the camber-toe in gauge ( two bolts and piece of angle iron LOL) I will build from the video link above. Too simple and too cheap to keep screwing around with alignment shop thieves/crooks scam artists and time wasters....
